maybe the worms have turned mate, but that still dosnt forgive them for rolling over and playing dead the first time around,i for one wont forget, just been reading some the drafts for new laws, after nash the minister of police has stated these new laws have nothing to do with public saftey or gun crime, gangs with guns etc,its now very clear to me this is really all about disarming the public for some political reasons this mob dosnt want its citizens to have access to any firearms for some reason,a common thing with marxist type governments who all say they are for the people, but all try and suppress the people,to maintain political power and control, this mob doing exactly that just like the communists they are, their long term goal is a totally gun free country, and that has absolutly nothing to do with public saftety, or preventing violent crime, the penaltys for evean minor infrigments against these proposed laws are more sever for a licenced gun owner than an armed criminal at $10,000 and or 6 months imprisnment accross all laws, very rare for an armed robber or gang member with mulitple convictions for criminal convictions with guns to even be convicted let alone do any prison time, let alone get slammed with a $10,000 fine eh,but thats the new penaltys for a licenced gun owner, the list for these penaltys for gun owners is very long and allso applies to airgun owners.nothing good will come out of this mess, but legal gun owners going to pay the price big time, they are allso going to increase the costs involved for anything to do with legal gun owners, ststing the costs to nz police are not covered by the fees etc,i imagine the same could be said for the costs in getting a car licence, but no intention of putting those costs up eh!!,facts are that the government has put in place gun laws,so they should pay the costs for all the time it takes to administer their own laws that were not needed in first place, police never even try to recover costs from any of their other activitys,so why should they for gun owners???who by and large are the most law abiding citizens of this country and have commited no crimes, when they dont even try to recover costs from criminals, fair comment i think eh!!i tend to think this isnt going to work out as well as government and police beieve it will,i dont believe they will be able to suck in any where near the number of now banned firearms as they believe they will, fact is they have no idea on how many or whats out there, let alone that the majority of owners will comply simpliy because they say they must or be penilised for not doing so!!bully tactics never work, threating gun owners with being then criminals if they dont comply,is totall fantisy, bassically all they will be doing is to creat one more class of criminals out of otherwise very law abiding citizens purely for political reasons of their own,if stupidity was brains this lot would all have iqs equivent to steven hawkins, every single one of them, but what we have instead is the lunatics running the asylem.
what are they actually really going to be able to do if most legal gun owners dont comply with this crap??where does that leave them then??? i personally havnt owned an msa rifle for many years, but i do own like many others do certain rifles that have been added to the now banned list, some i inherited from my father and i am not prepared to relingish any of them, just because after these rifles having been in my familly in some cases for close to 100 years, just coz they say so,and am certainly not going to butcher them just coz they sayso either,i imagine i am not alone thinking this way either,as to what i will do with these familly treasures i havnt decided, except i wont be turning them in for distruction.i know i am going on a bit bout this situation, but there is more involved here as fars as i am concerned than new draconian gun laws, its allso very much about how they have gone about it to me,with politians right accross the board from all partys being involved for their own political reasons betraying the trust put in them by those who elected them in good faith they had our best intersts in mind, which clearly many didnt. its too late as far as i am concerned to forgive the nats for what they did on this issuse coz i certainly wont forget and dont believe other nat voters and supporters should either, many us rural people wont forget or forgive they can take that to the next elections and i hope they pay for it then, when a country has a government that functions and rules this way we are all in trouble, and when a government is trying to disarm the citizens and fully arming its police force with the very firearms its banned its citizens from owning as this mob is now in the process of doing, something is very wrong,no one has yet to explain exactly why we need a police force fully armed with military weapons,or why they have expanded police and security forces powers to search and servail its citizens while taking away the citizens rights to legal process or privacy,we are now living in dangerous times when the powers governments are subverting for their exclusive use only, much of it done covered by a veil of secrecy and without the knowledge of its citizens,we now have a police force thats beyond the legal process with powers that make them unaccountable under the laws as the rest of us very certainly are and are now immune from prosecution under the law, when our police and security services can legally under powers given to them without our permissian secretly break into our homes ,busseness computers to put survailence devices to secretly spy on any one they choose to doso to without going to our courts with evidence to get a legal court issued warrent to doso,we live in a police state and if anyone believes otherwise they are deluding them selves.proberly said enough to get a visit from the powers that be now. cheers mike
