Serious technology, looking forward to follow up posts.

Great pictures, 80 yards what a range, bit much for a hand mower.

"Fingers down" great advice, well done to the users and manufacturers that come up with new safety ideas.

cheers for now.

Oliver absolutely loved it. He got the sneezes and had to hold them back which got us into fits of giggles. He was in charge of scent control with the smoke bottle checking wind. Had a ball of a time.

Ballistics are quite good. Firing around 410fps, I choose to go slightly heavier with the bolts it came with. Was around 420fps with the standard bolts. Proving to be very accurate out to 80m.

Not too bad to carry on the hills, being a bullpup style makes it excellent for in tight bush. Below is the closest I've stalked into a few deer, 150m before they winded me.

Wow! What a beauty Billbo!
Your young fellah is going to have some fun with that superb machine! Smile

Please keep us posted on the ballistics, as you get to know it more.... I'm told a crossbow is "loopier" than a long bow?

That surprises me because I've always thought a crossbow bolt would be flatter shooting? It'll be interesting to hear more..

And as you say, the good thing about such a platform, is that you can use it on bigger game too. Can't wait for the pics.....

Is it easy to carry on the slopes down your way?

My 7yr old and I lying in wait for what my son said was going to be a monster stag. Been granted access to shoot deer on a private property that runs beside a doc block. No deer seen tonight but there is lots of fresh sign. Will pop a trail cam up there when we head back as I forgot it tonight.

Windage is not too bad it was very gusty on the 60m shot. Still getting used to the trigger and where it breaks. Not a 2 stage but breaks very clean when it does. Filthy weather here today so won't be doing anymore shooting till tomorrow

Looks like the critters might have something to worry about! Is the windage worse than a pellet in same wind?
How would you say the flight chararistics compare to a pellet or slug.
Hope your tracking skills are up.might be following blood trails and desturbed vegitation for the odd critter.
No impact shock if ya a bit off.
Nice weapon. Some good targets there.
👍

New target, new bolts with Ukraine flag fletching for good luck (my fletching on my traditional bow is blue & yellow too)

20m

40m bullseye

60m after the wind got up.

Hahaha yes it is.

New target arrived today along with some more higher quality crossbow bolts so will be flat out getting it fully sighted in for hunting.

I think my airguns don't like it's new safemate as they haven't been touched for nearly two weeks...... :(

Yes it does have a reminder about your fingers, my xbow has excellent finger gaurds. Older xbows if you left your fingers up the string would take the tips off when you fired. Here is a top veiw.

So i did a google image search to see why the need for such a statement in the scope, and I can confirm it is evidentally quite relevant! Sick
