Started my second custom trigger today. This time i thought i would take some photos and show you the work that is involved making one of these.

I started off with a blank bit of flat alloy bar

next get the router and files out and shape the top end.

Next fit it into the trigger and finish shaping it

Thats all for today. Will post some more tomorrow.

Next cut the rest of the trigger out. Drill hole and insert new pin and shape the safety to fit the safety lever.

After that is done it is time to mark out the lines for the first and second stage adjustments.

Next drill the holes and tap the thread for the grub screws.

Now i got the file and router and finished shaping the blade.

Put it together without the safety trigger and adjust the first and second stage making sure it is smooth and free moving.

Finished product.

I put the gun back together and tested it. It now has a nice smooth action and a good short first stage and crisp second stage. All in all very happy with the result and im sure my customer will be very happy as well.

certainly looks nicer when its all finished, are the original SAT triggers plastic or metal? and is there any factory adjustment for pull weight?

Yea they are all plastic. They say they have a adjustable two stage trigger. But the thats all crap. You can adjust the pull length to a point but thats all the adjusting you can do.
