I get a heap of still days here. More than anywhere else I've emcouteredd around nz. Today is not one.
Shooting at 168.9m I think it was. 10km winds gusting to 23km Ave around 14km where I shoot from. 12km to 15km past macs pretty constant then strait back to 10/12km gusting to over 20km sitting around average of 17km. Gully to left sets up slightly differnt wind angles as wind crosses it as well. Least it's all from the left this time. I've got can at bottom of that back board and are putting last mildot mark on retical about 1/3 of way up that stick. Thats brought me to right level approx but the wind is just whipping my arse for windage. Closest I've gotten is about inch above can in centre. Most now are landing around the right hight but I haven't been able to get the windage right. Coffee time getting bit frustrated. |

Long distance shooting, in even the slightest wind can be very frustrating…
How much coffee have u got? 😂😂😂 All of my “long shots” in the 80’s and 90 yards that u see in my videos, I only attempt if it is verrrrryy still, usually only late at night, past 10pm. |

Plenty of coffee. Winds up more, so canned it.
I don't mind a constant wind, I can work with that. Gusty is definitely throwing me off and so is the hang time today. Still it's all info for real life pellet arc and drift. That is invaluable. |

Numga, its @PrecisionPellet on youtube.
Its all just pest control, lots of rabbits getting shot. Gets quite monotonous after a while. I used to really enjoy making them, but i think i'm getting over it now |

Maybe you should change it up a bit. Few gun reviews and pellet reviews directly related to hunting (you can get general everywhere on Web) drop that self aiming scope or turn off of the self aiming and do a few videos on hold over and using mildots to range (again in the field, everyone does these, but not actually in the fields hunting) if your kids just did their first hunts you could do a series of getting kids into hunting and teaching them to stalk and shoot. (keep there faces out of it, for privacy and saftey)
Do a comparison of kills, with night vision with all the bells and whistles verses spotlight and scope. Do a checking organs for diseases video. Do penitration tests at the same fpe at target, to show the energy dump differance between cal at same fpe. Plenty of options if you get out into the field instead of all these controlled situations you see on Web. Do a springer vs pcp video, sound scaring critters in field video. Find some space and beat my furthest shot with a springer, video it and narrate it with tips and advice. Edited by kruzaroad - 19 Aug 2024 at 9:46am |
