I’m keen to give it a try.
My biggest challenge is that the furtherest I can shoot at home, across the lounge, down the passage, out the front door, across the parking area, under the boat, to the fence, is 20yards 🤔 I also think we should standardize the can size, for example a soft drink 330ml like coke or sprite, so everyone has the same size target. |

You can count me out of open sight, unfortunately last time I used open sights it became blantly obvious my eyes arnt what they were with a choice of blurred sight or blurred target. That was a close ranges. Love to see a few of you guys compete at that. That's a skill and half distance on open sights. Love to see a pcp challange as well, scoped, no power limit that would produce some distance results and probly some pretty dam good accuracy at long ranges.

This sounds good, I will see how I go.
I shot a rabbit at 138 m a couple of weeks ago. Dead calm night, one shot landed so close, but rabbit didn't know which way to go and second shot clocked it. |

I'm about to go to can at this distance
Its another 5.5 mildots. That's off the retical so I'm using the 120m point of aim to line a spot up on tree in back ground then lift the extra 5.5mildots to that point for shot. Few more pratice shots then try can. Jump on in Pauly what's your springer you'll use? |

I will use HW98 .177
It's only shooting sub 12 ft/lb so I'm going to need good conditions. I don't have any high powered springers. |

Changed tactkets first was to much guessing.
So readjusted the zoom so the extra drop from the 120m was in the bottom of scope. First shot does it count? It skimed it. I'll try and get a clean shot but the morning still air has started to move 15 shots later haven't hit, been some close but not quite. Coffee time. Edited by kruzaroad - 04 Aug 2024 at 11:35am |

So had coffee and wind had stilled a bit.
Decided after 15 missed shots I better change cardboard from huge on one side to a couple of pieces both sides so I could figure out exactly where I was going off. Turned out it was a half post and had to use 1 piece sideways ,other just put down against post. 1st shot missed everything. 2nd shot hit cardboard and that's when it happened... For the first time since we started light shone through the hole. I didn't have to walk down to check my impact. Measured the windage 1.25 mildots, applied to opposite side and can went down. Same gun and ammo. Gun fully rested on a bag. Left arm crossed under stock to right arm for rear stabalisation. Scope is just a hair under 12x zoom. Aim point bottom of the glass of retical. Bloody stoked with gun, and me self too. Edited by kruzaroad - 05 Aug 2024 at 6:32am |

Yeah 330ml sounds good. Or thinner, I have no probs with more skilled shooters making it harder for themselves. Would one of the farms you shoot on let you use a paddock? Edited by kruzaroad - 04 Aug 2024 at 2:34pm |
