if jsb arent great then air arms, fx, cometa or my fav Edgun if you can find them. All variations of the jsb i believe, made on different dies. H&N FTT or Baracuda match if you want medium and heavy or RWS good pellets. Crossman Prems in the box were great

They're made by JSB and, from the tin of the AA you sent, the weight difference between them and the JSB Diabolo over 20 pellets, weighed on my micro scales for my nymphs and bombs was 1 1/00 of a gram and they were hitting the same POI. Spoke to Ron Young about it and he confirmed they're the same pellet in a different tin.

I'm running JSB Exact Diabolo in the .22 HW97, H & N FTT in the HW90 .22 and just had a 150 pellet session with the HW90 .25 and tried Barracuda, Barracuda Hunter Extreme and Apollo domed(which were the worst of the lot by a pellet trap missing distance) then JSB Hades, which eventually were pretty good, and finally JSB Exact King, which, once the barrel had adjusted to them, were sharp as, with the last three groups all one hole 5 shot groups at 20m.
Am I just a pussy, or is there actual recoil from a full power .25?

The Apolos are usually very cheep, and I find with pellets, like most things in life, you get what u pay for.
If you want to test a new brand of pellets and give them a fair test, like when changing from H&N to JSB, or vice versa, you should always put 10 or 15 pellets through the barrel before checking for accuracy as the different lead recipes/hardnesses will each need a few shots to lead in the barrel before it will settle. I find it’s not necessary if changing between weights or shapes of the same brand, as they will be made from the same lead, but definatly necessary when changing between different manufacturers. With regards to the recoil of the .25, it’s hard to say… Send it up to me and I’ll test it for you and let you know, but I might need it for a few months to ensure I can test it properly… 😂😂😂 |
