Good question.   I'm way over budget.

I guess I see the WH's as lifetime weapons, whereas  Gamo, as a brand, may not be.

The Gamo .22 is a an agricultural grade food gatherer  par excellence, in that it's accurate enough to 50m and hits HHHHAAARRRRDDDDD. At both ends   And I have no care for it other than maintenance and keeping it fit for purpose, so it's very low maintenance, at the moment.

The Gamo .25 Magnum I bought for interoperability, same as with the second HW90 in .25, where all the parts are interchangeable, particularly given the HW's are only 3 serial numbers separated.  They were almost side by side on the production line 26 years ago, both unused, still in the box, with all documentation including the Weihrauch trigger hanger, foresight interchangeable modules and owners manual, in the original box.   Not a coincidence; same deceased estate, so I suspect they were ordered together.

The real problem is I now know what quality feels like and shoots like.  That's your bloody fault.  Thank you.

If the Gamo's had either the Rekord or the Elite trigger, that would represent a quandry.  But they sure as sh*t don't.  The Gamo .22's trigger is at the right weight, but it's still touch and go, at different times, a little. At others, quite a bit.   The .25 I've kept more weight because it bucks a bit.

I'm picking up the .25 90 tonight.   Given the difference between the Gamo .22 and the .22 90, despite being roughly the same velocity, I'm hoping the HW won't be nearly as harsh as the car boot strut Gamo.

Anybody got a scope for sale that would suit?  Given it's a .25, something in the 3 - 9 range would be good as it's not going to be a target rifle.  I'll use Sports Match Dampa mounts, whatever scope gos on it.
