I've ordered some parts from Tin Bum Tuning and tried to contact him to organise some others for the HW90. Since the money was taken from my account, the only communication I've had from them was an AI proforma stating they had received my order.
I've sent 5 emails, Pm's through messenger and contact through both FB and his You tube accounts and there has been no response at all. Does anyone here know what the deal is, or have I been ripped off? I thought he seemed pretty genuine and I know, as my HW97 has one of his tuning kits in it that he at least used to be in business, but, even if he is, though his products are good quality, his communication standards are utter sh*te. Any ideas??

Hi Ashman,
I'll ask a friend of mine who has dealt with TBT many times. Meanwhile, it may be that he's on holiday in UK at this time of year? It's pretty hot over there currently - he may cooling off somewhere?

He is at Le Mans for the next two weeks so may be slower than normal to respond. I've found Nick very responsive when I have contacted him.

Not sure how TbT is set up - I know Nick lives in the south of France and I know him and his wife run the business which is still UK based. There is at least once person based in the UK who will fit kits for UK based clients if requested and also tunes Weihrauch trigger units. |

Thanks. I'll just wait. It's not urgent. Getting the HW90 stuff from him would be a plus if he can package it with the HW97 stuff.

I didn't place any further orders because I didn't hear from him as to wether he had the pats I wanted or not.

Hi Ashman,
Looks like Ec has solved the problem (above)? But in case you don't have it already, my friend tells me the best email to get hold of Nick at Tin Bum is mailto:tinbumtuning@gmail.com Hope that helps....

That is the email address I've used to ask a couple of questions about my Webley Mark 1 pistol and about getting a kit for my Diana - he has always responded quickly - though I do know he is on holiday at present and may be slower than normal to respond.

Just heard from them with a tracking number for the package so it's on its way however they didn't answer any of my subsequent emails regarding other stuff they have that I would like to purchase so I'll be paying 2 lots of postage.
On the plus side, got the scope mounts and recoil rail sorted on the HW90, adjusted the barrel tensioners and "Pfffttted" the gas valve to reduce the harder than my Gamo Magnum cocking pressure plus lubricated a few bits and pieces and shot some groups. It's starting to show some promise and with the trigger, which is a dandy, adjusted for a little more let off pressure, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Still plenty of shunt required for the cocking pressure so I may "Pffftttt" it ever so slightly again. Nicks videos suggest a "Pfffttt" is about a pound but I have to be careful as I don't have a pump and a gauge (something I wanted to get from Tinbum, along with the required Schrader valve extension to put more in yet, so gently gently. Fettling these things is fun. Some Ok groups, but nothing like the 97 YET.

About a week. Holiday time. Holy sh*te, how much more power do you want out of one of those? You'll need a cross bow crank to cock it.
