Hi everyone,
I’ve just joined the group and thought I’d introduce myself, after not picking up an air rifle since the late 70’s , earlier this year I picked up a Hatsan 135 QE in .25 cal, which had some work done on it — de-burred / polished piston, upgraded suppressor internals with a 3D-printed frame for tighter tolerances, also a new spring and breech seals. Originally, it was purely for pest control — we’ve had a big increase in rats in the backyard. But what started as culling quickly turned into something more. I began setting up cans of baked beans at different distances to test my accuracy, then added splatter targets to track progress. Before long, it became something I genuinely enjoy — almost therapeutic. After putting in the time and taking plenty of shots to tighten my grouping, after watching countless youtube videos, I’ve caught the bug. Now I’m looking to step up to a Weihrauch HW80 or HW98 in .22 cal. Keen to experience the satisfaction of shooting with a high-quality rifle and a top-tier trigger. If anyone has an HW80 or HW98 they’re thinking of selling, feel free to reach out — I’d be keen to chat. Cheers! Westy |

Welcome bro, my first adult airgun was a hatsan to, nothing flash but that's where the addiction started. I totally gel with the therapeutic side of pulling triggers lol There was an hw80 mentioned forsale on here not long ago, I remember reading about it, other than that i think there was a couple on trademe recently also. I've never shot either but always liked the look of the HW98
