.25 Gamo Swarm Magnum ammo

Anyone on here have one of these and, if so, what does it like please?

It's for hunting small game, not target work though I'll be doing a lot of that to get accustomed to it.

It's only had about 500 through it, so barely worn in.

Any ideas? 

I've just received a pack of .22 Hades and they'll go through that gun tomorrow at my campsite.

I'm going to pop down to Gun City tomorrow to see what they've got but it's a bit limited on their web site.

H & N do a variety pack just as they do for .177 and .22 so hopefully they've got one of those.

Out for a session this arvo and the JSB Exact Diabolo 25.39g were the pick with a best group 8 shot group was just under an inch at 25.  Nice even group, no stringing.

Put about 100 mixed pellets down range and starting to get the hang of the trigger.

The .22 is a shooter.   I'll have to find out how to post pictures.  Using Gamo Hunter 15.42g, the first 10 shot group was .36" and, given that I found that hard to believe, I cracked another 5 shot group at .31.  The pellets were simply disappearing through each other.  

Done over the ute tray with artillery hold over front bag and rear bag at the gently held pistol grip. 

I'm out again tomorrow down a local river bed and I'll get the target out to 50m and see what happens.

That's  about 400 through the .22 since new, the trigger is adjusted as light as it can be and, for a trigger that many disparage, it's genuinely usable,, despite the creep.  It's consistent, and that's all that's really needed for me, as a b ig part of shooting is knowing the equipment. 

If I can get the .25 that accurate, I'lll buy it. 

Yep Elements Iris.  Non parallax adjustable but at 20m and on 4 X it's clear.   I've used a drop of Loctite 243 and it's mounted in the rings with ultra strong  double sided tape.   Helps with alignment too, as any inconsistencies with scope shape or ring lapping get taken out of the picture, and also ensures it won't slide.

Guess I'll get to see how sh*t hot I am not at that distance.  If I'm sneaky Pete enough, I hope that gets to be my small game hunting type measurement.   Rabbits heave big ears for a reason though.  And they feel footfall through their feet.  Sneaky little buggers.

I won't get to try 50m till next days off.  the river bed I used yesterday gets busy on holiday weekends and I don't want to scare anybody dumb enough to think an air rifle would be a good choice for nefarious purposes.
