Having trouble finding any information on this particular air rifle .

Hi Muzza, The Blue Book says ' .177,BB,Break barrel,450fps, single shot version of the 1740. Most of which you already know by looking, I guess

thanks chaps. Seems it is a bit of an orphan for information.
I doubt mine makes 450 fps , more like 250 on a good day but it intrigued me - and thats enough for me :-)
