Here’s a bit of a rarity that I jumped on when it came up for sale. These were made for around 1 year 1968-70, so hard to find - the little known cousin to the famous Crosman 600 - both being true semi-auto pellet pistols.

It’s heavy and clunky, but really a yank-tank version of a Swiss watch - the parts are nicely machined in steel and brass, lots of parts working together. You can see why it didn’t last long, its complex quality build would have been expensive to make and easily damaged if miss-treated!

In its day it was the only air pistol with realistic recoil - the top section blows back. This system also made it super hungry on gas

It uses a rotary magazine built in, pellets loaded skirt first. Like the Crosman 600 it takes very specific flat head pellets to ensure it doesn’t jam, which would be a bad thing as you simply can’t get parts.

This was a leaker, but Young’s installed a new canister seal and it now works fine, even after likely a couple of decades of sitting around.

With these its more of a "does it even shoot" vs "how does it shoot" LOL

Ive added a quick vid of the blowback action. But yes, I wouldnt mind getting it on paper to see how it groups

I also managed to get an original manual to pair with it, as well as a tin of the correct pellets
