No, the target I used is ment for a scoped springer 100y shoot.
We are still doing a 30y open sights challenge 👍🏻

Try drawing a dirty big arrow head pointing to the bulls.
Its a lot easier to site the post under a big arrow point.

Wind settled for a few hours so set up for open sights challenge.
Hatsan has OEM Truglo green-red fibre optic sight.

First attempt indicated some practice required.

Second attempt looked to form two separate groups but at least on similar plane.

Hatsan .30 calibre model 135 springer
JSB Exact 44.75 grain pellet at 29 ft/lb
33 yards bench rest, open sights
89mm OD group

Hatsan .30 calibre model 135 springer
JSB Exact 44.75 grain pellet at 29 ft/lb
33 yards bench rest, open sights
62mm OD group

Hatsan do make of pointing out the dangers of using an airgun.

Nice shooting, those hatsan's have a lot of recoil. Thats the main reason my .25 is still sitting in the gun safe lol

That bottom target would be dead rabbit all day long.
I must have a serious go on a larger bore one day.
Ends on 7th, two more competitors and that hundy bucks can go to some one.
30m open sight, to anyone else interested.

Lightweight youth rifle, initial free standing attempt not uploaded.
Less said the better.
I lost height in a rather constant manner, so perhaps that could be corrected.
Shooting to the right was not the wind so head position problem.

Norica (Thor) .177 calibre springer
Uses green/red filaments in rear/front sights
JSB Exact 8.44 grain pellet at 8.5 ft/lb
33 yards standing, tripod, open sights
87mm OD group

Nice Mercs.
Your big boy .30cal was a tighter group, but its nice to see different rifles having a go.

Ive just aquired one of the entry level Hatsan .25cal springers, but I'm yet to pick it up.
(If anyone happens to be coming past Rototua en route to Hamilton/Cambridge please let me know, I might ask you to pick up a springer for me)
Pics show it as having open sights, so I might give it a go at the challenge when I finally get my hands on it.
