Is that trigger guard not stock?
It's obviously an early HW80K - Did they change the trigger guard on recent models??

 I love the classic old rifle - I'm old but hardly classic!
And I'm pretty sure that it's in better mechanical nick than me - first tutu with erratically operating Cheap Chinese Chrono gives it 223 m/sec with .95 g H&N FT Trophys or 17.45ft/ib so it seems reasonably sound and shoots straighter than anything I've air-blasted lead through.

The chrono - it feels like it I get a muzzle velocity otherwise it just ignores the lead flying between it's sensors - I haven't had it long, used just twice in a week or so, and it may be it likes shade and dappled cloud and sun gives it brain freeze.

Can someone tell me the best place to buy Weihrauch parts? 
Posts here seem to indicate you order from the UK so are there some good suppliers that will ship to Godzone NZ?

And while I'm ordering and planning to have it in bits, I'm not TOO worried about spending coin as the rifle will likely end up with my son, so should I consider any new parts / mods to improve accuracy?

I'm quite comfortable with action, twang, noise and recoil so no mods needed there unless they improve my groups.

Not interested in more power but at some stage I'll experiment with that .177 barrel for longer range targets and may want to get serious about having fun trying for bulls at a local range so I'm thinking maybe the .177 barrel and heavy pellets will group better at 25 or more meters? Am I right in thinking flatter trajectory is better for serious target shooting? I know the rifle will never be a serious target beast but keen to play target shooting with it and the Diana 52.

Ah, news on the Diana - it was a bargain at an auction, sight unseen, photo did not show the right side and bent cocking lever and not surprisingly, now I've broken it cocking the gun. I've emailed Ron for a new one, assume he's the best local source? Ron's prices seem very reasonable to me and I love having a yarn with him - people that share knowledge will get my money...am I better to order HW80 bolts etc through Ron as well....I'm regularly (reluctantly) in Auckland...Aucks is a great place except for the driving...
  

NB Pigeons aren't bad but Doves have so little meat and so little flavour I don't bother any more except they seem to be breeding up and displacing some native birds around here so i night have to start nailing the pests. Maybe my cat will eat them.

I'd go duck sux (never liked it) pidgeon is delish, quail very white, clean meat, pheasant the top. Rabbit is ahh, hare really is a good meat.
Pukeko in a crock pot for about 5 hours sorts the meat, I wouldn't drop it as a food source, but never use it as one.

A friend of mine tried Pukeko. And I watched a programe where they cooked it. Very gamey was what my mate said.

You have to be careful with that. A lot of places will not take dead carcasses if they have been shot due to lead been still there. I looked into that a couple of years ago with the place up the road and thats what they told me

Pauly... rabbit is home grown, free range, antibiotic free, just about as healthy as you can get.
Same with hare and possum.

Ive been skinning and dissecting a lot of rabbits for this sub 16 comparison video, its a lot of work, especially caping the heads to see what the head shots do.

PS: dogs eat rabbit skin, and fur they've been doing it for as long as they've been eating rabbits, which is about the last 10 million years!

I read once that it's very likely you will get Leander poisoning from air rifles pellets due to the additives they use to make the lead harder for use in air rifles and other projectiles. The lead they use in roofs and lead windows are a purer form of lead and therefore softer and breaks down faster if digested.
