I dont see it as anything like great shooting honestly. It's basically walking pellets to the target then trying to tweek the shot.
Your 138m rabbit shot is more notable, as it was done in 2 shots, without having to check where you were hitting. (mind you I suspect that was pcp with self aiming scope).
I've been mucking around with ideas for one of those target hit lights, (on paper) tonight. Yet another great idea, I had no idea about till it popped up on that thread.
The shot is totally redoable and I'd like to catch it on the phone, it may pick a light up at 170m+, but won't show a can that far.
I ain't paying over a hundy bucks for one, when I think I've sorted a way to do it with a bit of can, some wire, hunting spotlight and battery
See if I can piece it together tomorrow.
Threads not going anywhere Pauly. Even after the compition ends if you shoot more put it up. Time limit is for prize, no reason to stop extending the distance when shots further are made. I'll be pretty disappointed if this the furthest shot, heap of shooters on this site are capable of more distance they get the time, space and weather.

Perfect for a long distance back drop.
Eager to get rid of it too. Less rubbish for them I suppose.

Here's the basics of what I'm setting up for a hit light.
I'm trying to make it sensitive as possible as I'm only getting about 1.18 fpe, if the calculators are right.
For the switch I'm using a cci mini mag cartridge container.
Two electrical connections.
One female plug for the spot light to plug into.
The female plug will have a direct connection to battery and a connection to the bottom electrical connector on cci box. The top arm will connect from target plate and the electrical connection on arm and will connect to other terminal on female plug.
The arm has a small amount of plastic below the connection plate to keep the connections separate untill the arm is pushed the mm or so back. The arm falls and completes the connection, spot light turns on. Stays on mind you, flashing bit past my basic set up.

Still working on best way to hang target plate or make a slide for it so it can move back as a unit. Sort that later, but have couple of ideas. For now waiting for epoxy to dry on connections enough to keep working on it.

If figure I'll just mount the spot on top of the backboard with a shroud over it.
See how it all works out.

If it only going to setup for under 2 pfe why not use something like a plastic sheet, something the pellet wont go through. Get two sheets with tin foil on the back for your conductors with wires going to them. when the pellet hits the plastic it will push against the other sheet causing them to make the connection and that will go to your light or you could use it to power a switch which then turns the light on.

Because it won't stay connected. It would be wind sensitive. Don't think tinfoil would be a good 12volt connection.
I've made a tin plate put a couple of brackets for the arm. I'm just deciding if I want to put a weak spring at connection end of arm to force it down as it moves back or just put a small nut and bolt on one of the holes and let gravity do the work.
Another advantage of the arm is the plate should help hold it as it trys to get back to it natural hanging point.
Tin foil was one of the first things I thought of for a connection but ruled it out.

It's all number 8 wire here Nunga. It's also a one use build. I'll never be shooting this far again. Just thought I'd get it on film if can. I have no dought that ppl question the photos, even though I've tried to show it all in pics. Video be much more conclusive. ( I also like long distance shooting so is an excuse to recreate it.

If anyone dosent believe the photos or believe that you hit a can at that distance, then that’s their problem.
Anyone who regularly posts in this forum is obviously passionate about their air gunning, and in my experience people who are passionate about their interests, are usually able to do them well.
I have no doubt that any of the regular contributors in this forum can shoot very well.
No one on this forum stands to gain anything by lying about their accomplishments, and I don’t think anyone would.

Nah, I got a your full of sh*t look when I mentioned it to dude in one of the gun shops.
Then there's those "air guns are toys" powder shooters who don't think an springer can even do 80m.
Fair enough, hell the farmer here couldnt hit a hare past 80m with a 22lr, so an air rifle couldn't do it.
He's changed his tune.
Then again untill this I think I would have been sceptical about 172m springer shot with a stock gun.
Video would just be the icing on the cake.
At end of day after this I'm even more sold on air guns.
