So i went to get my .22 of my mate. checked out his paddocks and I will be setting up at 150 meters next weekend. Will take all the cameras with the range finder and do it properly. I will be sticking to .177 cal even tho i have my .25 hatsan sitting there doing nothing. as well as a few high power .22's

I measured up me next post it's about 10m more than that.
As its gone dead still and sunny should do it now but shot enough for today. Stock go in paddock tonight so I'm out for a few days now. As any shot over a hundy meters is a great shot, I'm keen to see any can hits from a hundy meters up. The gun and pellet and muzzle volicity. I'm curious as to impact and penitration at distance. Don't not put shots up because it's not over the shot distance, any shot a hundred meters or over deserves to be to be put up. Personal bests under 100m welcome as well. Nunga take all three cal. Your not limited to one springer. It's how far can you shoot a springer and hit the can.
Personally I'd find comparison between the cal very interesting. |

Fun!wish i had some distance to try! ive got around 20m in the yard, but i do remember going to a property and testing the legs of the FWB 300s off his deck - hanging bottle at 50yards as fun, and managed to hit a fence post at 100ish a couple of times - seemed like a long time for the pellet to hit the post!

At 139m I shot, kept looking through the scope, thought nah and then the can fell.
Its an insane amount of time when your shooting but in reality, not really. I would imagine though with this gun and pellet I'm getting to a distance where there is a enough time delay a hare would hear a pellet and may have time to start ducking. I'm still blown away standing at a 100m as bb shot the target how loud a pellet is cutting through the air. Being sub sonic the sound must overtake it. For all you people who don't sort pellets. Despite my fanatical pellet weighing and sorting, I'd run out of weighed pellets for the 139m shot and was using unsorted strait from the tin. |

Sigh last few days still as, sunny, but bulls in paddock.
Today still as, no bulls, showery sigh. Stops me using my sighting cardboard. Which is purpose of this post. That big piece of cardboard I use for ranging and is totally invaluable for getting drop and catching windage at these distances (all way beyond what I've sighted in for and shot an air rifle at before) is approx 6ft x 2m. (yeah I know it's differnt units) And is half a box, a bed head board came in. I cut it in half and have shot the first half to pieces. It maybe possible to get one from your local bed dealer if they have one out back. Honestly without it I'd probly still be plinking away at 120m. Anyway hopefully a few of you will be able to get out this weekend and put a few cans down. I'll be attempting over 150m if weather permits. Still be keen on those hundy plus can shots for impact comparison. |

Mid next week should give a window. High coming in. Here's hoping it's good enough some where to get a shoot in this weekend.
