Unfortunately, I probably am too, if '59 is where they started.

The Webley Senior is relativity new - made sometime between 1959 and 1964 the Mark 1 is  older - possibly as early as 1947.   The Senior is interesting in that it has a phosphor-bronze ring as a piston seal - very similar to the rings on the pistons of a engine.  And yes I am older than my Webley Senior LOL!

The Meteor I had was manufactured around that same time.  Great replacement for the Milbro 45 I started with.  Better power, better build quality and a great arm workout for a very scrawny trigger happy kid.

Sold my Gamo P900 a while ago and recently sold both my Gamo and Gold Cup.   Meteor is a very early Super Meteor - Serial number indicates it was manufactured 1967-69.

Ive currently got the Meteor and a Webley MK1 pistol in .177
A Diana 31 & Webley Senior pistol in .22
a Hatsan Carnivore 135 in .30

My Gold Cup .177 rifle liked JSBS, though with only open sights tin cans at out to 40m was as far as I ever took it.

Neither My Gamo or my Diana .22 seem to like JSB 14.35gr Exact Jumbo Express.  The best pellet I found for the Gamo was Webley Accupells followed very closely by Stoeger X-Hunt.

Will be fully testing Accupells in my Diana when I get time - but initial testing has been positive.

Haven't really tested my 177 SA Meteor yet but will be starting with Accupells.

My Hatsan seems to like FX and JSBs about the same - using JSBs at present.

Holy ship you've got eclectic taste in rifles.  More makes than some gun shops.
What vintage is the Meteor?

The Apolos are usually very cheep, and I find with pellets, like most things in life, you get what u pay for.
If you want to test a new brand of pellets and give them a fair test, like when changing from H&N to JSB, or vice versa, you should always put 10 or 15 pellets through the barrel before checking for accuracy as the different lead recipes/hardnesses will each need a few shots to lead in the barrel before it will settle.
I find it’s not necessary if changing between weights or shapes of the same brand, as they will be made from the same lead, but definatly necessary when changing between different manufacturers.

With regards to the recoil of the .25, it’s hard to say…
Send it up to me and I’ll test it for you and let you know, but I might need it for a few months to ensure I can test it properly…

I'm running JSB Exact Diabolo in the .22 HW97, H & N FTT in the HW90 .22 and just had a 150 pellet session  with the HW90 .25 and tried Barracuda, Barracuda Hunter Extreme and Apollo domed(which were the worst of the lot by a pellet trap missing distance) then JSB Hades, which eventually were pretty good, and finally JSB Exact King, which, once the barrel had adjusted to them, were sharp as, with the last three groups all one hole 5 shot groups at 20m.
Am I just a pussy, or is there actual recoil from a full power .25?

Was using air arms for tx when had it.

They're made by JSB and, from the tin of the AA you sent, the weight difference between them and the JSB Diabolo over 20 pellets, weighed on my micro scales for my nymphs and bombs was 1 1/00 of a gram and they were hitting the same POI.
Spoke to Ron Young about it and he confirmed they're the same pellet in a different tin.

if jsb arent great then air arms, fx, cometa or my fav Edgun if you can find them.

All variations of the jsb i believe, made on different dies.

H&N FTT or Baracuda match if you want medium and heavy or RWS good pellets.

Crossman Prems in the box were great

I’ve bought a tin of the gun city “rabbiter” which I think are the H&N barracuda hunters.
Will measure and weigh them to compare, and will test them for accuracy in the dreamline and let u know how they go, but I do have high hopes for them 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I had reasonable results with gun City javelins in gamo,tx and 1322. Enough so I got a second tin. But they were out preformed by other brands.
Still a pellet I would consider if more accurate brands for my guns weren't avalible.
They also seemed like a softer pellet.

Just out of curiosity, the H&N variety test pack in .22 includes a pellet called the Barracuda hunter, which my Gamo CFR really liked, but I could not find any for sale anywhere, so I ended up going with the barracuda hunter extreme.
Today I was looking in gun city for .177 cal pellets, I was looking specifically for JSB’s but gun city dosent stock JSB’s.
So I had a good look at the extensive range of H&N pellets they do stock, and their house brand called Javelin.
Their house brand Javlins are actually made y H&N, interesting to know, so although they are cheaper they should be the same quality.
Then I noticed a pellet called a Javelin “rabbiter hollow point”, which looks identical to the barracuda hunter… 🤔🤔🤔.
I’m certain Guncity have “bought” H&N’s barracuda hunter pellet and are just having them put into the red Guncity/javelin rabbiter hollow point tin.
I’m sure they have done the same with the H&N silver point pellet and the javelins in the blue tin.
