I will use HW98 .177

It's only shooting sub 12 ft/lb so I'm going to need good conditions.
I don't have any high powered springers.

I'm about to go to can at this distance
Its another 5.5 mildots. That's off the retical so I'm using the 120m point of aim to line a spot up on tree in back ground then lift the extra 5.5mildots to that point for shot.
Few more pratice shots then try can.
Jump on in Pauly what's your springer you'll use?

This sounds good, I will see how I go.

I shot a rabbit at 138 m a couple of weeks ago. Dead calm night, one shot landed so close, but rabbit didn't know which way to go and second shot clocked it.

You can count me out of open sight, unfortunately last time I used open sights it became blantly obvious my eyes arnt what they were with a choice of blurred sight or blurred target. That was a close ranges. Love to see a few of you guys compete at that. That's a skill and half distance on open sights. Love to see a pcp challange as well, scoped, no power limit that would produce some distance results and probly some pretty dam good accuracy at long ranges.

I was sighting in my D54 at 30y open sights today and I was also thinking about a challenge, an open sights springer challenge….
But let’s let this one play out first 👍🏻
Walk quietly, but carry a big stick.

I’m keen to give it a try.
My biggest challenge is that the furtherest I can shoot at home, across the lounge, down the passage, out the front door, across the parking area, under the boat, to the fence, is 20yards 🤔

I also think we should standardize the can size, for example a soft drink 330ml like coke or sprite, so everyone has the same size target.

Apart from the compition and fun aspect I'm just curious to see what can be acbieved distance wise.

Well the world record is 150 yards or 137 meters. if the wind is good ill try 120 meters to start with and go from there

and to think. i spent the last 40 minutes setting up my scaffolding to shoot above the house into the bank for extra distance lol wont need it now.

That was a lesson in humility. Filled the vcan with water, lined up first shot and the can went flying. Pretty stoked with meself packed everything away walked down to can. No hole? Dent in bottom of can but it was long and not pellet like. Had me stumped and couldn't show that as a hit.
Went back set up next shot missed, 2nd shot creased the left side of can (it was empty from being on the ground) so I went down to see if it left a mark. Didn't seem too. Then I noticed the line across the top of post going to can. Turned the can around and it matched the dent. Skimmed the post top. Couldn't really call it hit.

I'm assuming the line to left is after the first shot.
So went back and fired another 4 shots. 2 hit just the right on the batten. 1 you can see the other is higher. One I heard hit the tree behind so must have went left then finally

That thinner can is much harder target by far. Didn't think it would make that much differance. It certainly knocked my ego back into place.
I'm sticking to beer cans you better shooters can use thin cans if you want but not nessary.

Hell yeah. That sig was sig pulled some pretty strait lines when we were on that 100m range.
Handent thought of 362,that could be pretty good with the right pellet, was accurate at medium ranges.
Would the co2 rifle have the distance?
Seems to be preety lethal in your hands at mid ranges?
