   Did a bit more sanding yesterday. Added more detail. Just went for it with the power tools. I still have work to do on the butt.Thought I would pop into home for lunch yesterday but ended up getting into this and left looking all dusty. That's ok as everyone thought I was really busy at work. "Flat out mate".

	Also the top of the cheekrest/comb, compare it to your original stock to see the angle to take it up at, and the width to finish at. gives a more "factory" finish if its a bit "sharper"

	try doing a rollover comb to give the rear extra character, and in the front follow the trigger hole line to put a fade out groove into the front ? maybe add the same into the rear of the hamster area to? look at your original stocks fore end, the underside is (if its like the TX) well rounded, doing this will add extra laminate lines into the bottom of the fore end - just make sure its the same both sides :) Edited by (pink)MIST - 19 Jun 2014 at 5:03pm

	Another view. Not too sure about what to do along the stock as it's a bit plain, and flat, but that's just cosmetic.

	Yea I was having a good look at yours and could see I needed to take more off. Will get some drum sanding attachment tomorrow.

	Yep , looking like good progress there Paul , especially glad to see you moved the holden outta the way, routers and Laminate make a lot of mess. Make sure your thumb up slot has some depth to it, might feel sweet now, but once the finish goes on it'll feel better with a bit more depth , and stop your thumb moving around. Get some drum sander attatchments for your drill, and some sanding flap wheels as well, you'll be surprised how easy they make things:)

	My Pink Mist blank arrived Friday so started on it over the weekend. Drew some lines on it then set it up to inlay with the router. Nothing fancy, but effective. Note Holden well away from dust source. All done, then tried the action for fit, pretty good, now I can drill holes and start shaping. Now the fun starts. Shaping. I didn't approach this aggressively so still have to take quite a bit off but at least I know the direction i'm going in. The good thing is that my hand sits in it totally relaxed and I don't feel any pressure points so I reckon that's a good thing.
