Having several Gamo rifles i occasionally experiment with their pellets.
I like a challenge. mmm shiny
Lead free will be the future I expect and "gold plated" option was irresistible. 2nd pellet out of the tube was very damaged so at 60 cents per pellet not a great start. Coating seems to make them oversize and not an easy breech fit. Some I could not load properly with bolt action rifles as not willing to use excessive force. Early chronograph tests indicate power loss even compared to 2 x heavier lead pellets. I have some H&N alloys available so will do a comparison in the coming weeks. Weights and sizes on a rainy day. $30 for 50 pellets oops Hypersonic, thats new??? Edited by mercs - 28 Apr 2023 at 7:46pm |
