Ask chat gpt. I just gave it a basic run down, and got a few work arounds in general.
You could save yourself a lot of time by going to it. Its pretty good on program issues. So i refrazed the question,to what info would it need. ChatGPT You said: Having uploading issues with a change in server platform, doest have some of the required things to run site properly any more. What info would you need to help analize ways of working around it. ChatGPT To analyze workarounds for your server platform issue, I’d need the following details: 1. Server & Hosting Details What server platform were you using before, and what are you using now? (e.g., Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed) Are you using shared hosting, VPS, or a dedicated server? Do you have root access to the new server? 2. Software & Dependencies What specific features or software are now missing that the site depends on? (e.g., PHP version, database type, modules, scripts) Any error messages or logs indicating missing components? 3. Website Stack What is your site built on? (e.g., WordPress, Laravel, Django, static HTML) What programming languages and frameworks does it use? 4. Deployment & Upload Issues Are you having trouble uploading files via FTP/SFTP, or is it a permission issue? Are there restrictions on execution, file types, or storage space on the new server? Does the new platform have any security policies blocking your uploads? 5. Possible Constraints Are there limitations on what you can install or modify on the new server? Do you need a workaround that doesn’t require a full server migration? Let me know as many details as possible, and I’ll help you explore solutions. |

OK so i have checked things out and yes the new "upgraded" server is causing the problem. I have managed to change a couple of settings but I know there will be big problems with uploading images as this new server does not support any of the platforms this site runs on.

There has been some errors when trying to post in the forums. I will look into this over the weekend. My provider has moved this site to a new server so i think this has something to do with the errors. I will keep you posted.

Im on 10.04 or something. I have the latest version on my computer at home. I have gone through all the new updated files and copied the new mobile view settings over to my old files online but this has not fixed the problem

I'm looking looking at the version update page to see if there may be an upgrade that is causing the issue.

The problem is this forum im using is pretty much old and outdated there is not much support for it. The mobile code that i have found is located in 8 files forum_topics.asp forum_posts.asp RTE_javascript.asp non_RTE_javascript.asp register.asp status_bar_header_inc.asp mobile_default_style.css header.asp I am using percentage in the mobile view. it used to be in measurements. It is in java. There is over 100 files to go through and change...it is driving me nuts lol
