maybe the worms have turned mate, but that still dosnt forgive them for rolling over and playing dead the first time around,i for one wont forget, just been reading some the drafts for new laws, after nash the minister of police has stated these new laws have nothing to do with public saftey or gun crime, gangs with guns etc,its now very clear to me this is really all about disarming the public for some political reasons this mob dosnt want its citizens to have access to any firearms for some reason,a common thing with marxist type governments who all say they are for the people, but all try and suppress the people,to maintain political power and control, this mob doing exactly that just like the communists they are, their long term goal is a totally gun free country, and that has absolutly nothing to do with public saftety, or preventing violent crime, the penaltys for evean minor infrigments against these proposed laws are more sever for a licenced gun owner than an armed criminal at $10,000 and or 6 months imprisnment accross all laws, very rare for an armed robber or gang member with mulitple convictions for criminal convictions with guns to even be convicted let alone do any prison time, let alone get slammed with a $10,000 fine eh,but thats the new penaltys for a licenced gun owner, the list for these penaltys for gun owners is very long and allso applies to airgun owners.nothing good will come out of this mess, but legal gun owners going to pay the price big time, they are allso going to increase the costs involved for anything to do with legal gun owners, ststing the costs to nz police are not covered by the fees etc,i imagine the same could be said for the costs in getting a car licence, but no intention of putting those costs up eh!!,facts are that the government has put in place gun laws,so they should pay the costs for all the time it takes to administer their own laws that were not needed in first place, police never even try to recover costs from any of their other activitys,so why should they for gun owners???who by and large are the most law abiding citizens of this country and have commited no crimes, when they dont even try to recover costs from criminals, fair comment i think eh!!i tend to think this isnt going to work out as well as government and police beieve it will,i dont believe they will be able to suck in any where near the number of now banned firearms as they believe they will, fact is they have no idea on how many or whats out there, let alone that the majority of owners will comply simpliy because they say they must or be penilised for not doing so!!bully tactics never work, threating gun owners with being then criminals if they dont comply,is totall fantisy, bassically all they will be doing is to creat one more class of criminals out of otherwise very law abiding citizens purely for political reasons of their own,if stupidity was brains this lot would all have iqs equivent to steven hawkins, every single one of them, but what we have instead is the lunatics running the asylem.
what are they actually really going to be able to do if most legal gun owners dont comply with this crap??where does that leave them then???
i personally havnt owned an msa rifle for many years, but i do own like many others do certain rifles that have been added to the now banned list, some i inherited from my father and i am not prepared to relingish any of them, just because after these rifles having been in my familly in some cases for close to 100 years, just coz they say so,and am certainly not going to butcher them just coz they sayso either,i imagine i am not alone thinking this way either,as to what i will do with these familly treasures i havnt decided, except i wont be turning them in for distruction.i know i am going on a bit bout this situation, but there is more involved here as fars as i am concerned than new draconian gun laws, its allso very much about how they have gone about it to me,with politians right accross the board from all partys being involved for their own political reasons betraying the trust put in them by those who elected them in good faith they had our best intersts in mind, which clearly many didnt.
its too late as far as i am concerned to forgive the nats for what they did on this issuse coz i certainly wont forget and dont believe other nat voters and supporters should either, many us rural people wont forget or forgive they can take that to the next elections and i hope they pay for it then, when a country has a government that functions and rules this way we are all in trouble, and when a government is trying to disarm the citizens and fully arming its police force with the very firearms its banned its citizens from owning as this mob is now in the process of doing, something is very wrong,no one has yet to explain exactly why we need a police force fully armed with military weapons,or why they have expanded police and security forces powers to search and servail its citizens while taking away the citizens rights to legal process or privacy,we are now living in dangerous times when the powers governments are subverting for their exclusive use only, much of it done covered by a veil of secrecy and without the knowledge of its citizens,we now have a police force thats beyond the legal process with powers that make them unaccountable under the laws as the rest of us very certainly are and are now immune from prosecution under the law, when our police and security services can legally under powers given to them without our permissian secretly break into our homes ,busseness computers to put survailence devices to secretly spy on any one they choose to doso to without going to our courts with evidence to get a legal court issued warrent to doso,we live in a police state and if anyone believes otherwise they are deluding them selves.proberly said enough to get a visit from the powers that be now.
 cheers mike

have just read the discussion paper on new gun laws released by nz police thats going to the select committee soon, this is bassically the police wish list on gun control, and you can bet your boots will be the only submission the government will pay any attention to,the government has very kindly extended the time period for public submissions to september, definatly proving they have no intention of paying ant attention to gun owners in this process, giving gun owners a months extention is just playing with words, when the submission process was already only a few months long to begin with, definatly not enough time for meaningfull discussions in first instance.
any one who believes this process is anything but a gun grab by force isnt paying attention, they have no intention of being fair and reasonable and neither do nz police as both partys have very cynically used the nz media and the emotions of the time toconsistantly use lies and half truths to get their agenda thru to a bassically ill informed general public, many of whom dont own guns or understand anything bout guns other than the crap they see in movies and overseas fake news, that are all about crime, terroism and violence, not hunting or other shooting activitys that most gun owners are involved in,so dont really care bout anything else, many still believe our disfunctional police can keep them safe from violence and crime when facts prove to be very different so tend to believe the police lies bout their ablity to doso, its very easy to pick on approx 260,000 leagal gun owners coz police know who they are and where to find them,so make scapegoats out of legal lawabiding gun owners for purely political reasons and to suit police agendas, unfortunatly we have a socialist type government now who just dosnt like guns or their owners that are more than happy to go along for the ride with nz police for political reasons, both partys have exploited what happened in christchurch to the fullest advantage they wring out of it,this must have been mana from heaven,a gift from god to these people and they have taken full advanage of that oppurtunity. i havnt owned ant msa rifles for over 20 years so have no personal axe to gring over msa rifles, but really dont see or believe these rifles pose the thread the public is being lead to believe they do or may do,personally i had allways believe all msa rifles should have been on e cat,no exceptions, but that was then and this is now and they have lied and banned them all along with most lever action carbines firing pistol cartridges as well as many other types of hunting and target shooting rifles, many tube mag 22 rimfire rifles are now allso banned, they havnt left us much.this is exactly what it looks like!! a gun grab in attempt to remove as many once legal guns out of the system as possible and then make so hard to get a gun licence they hope many wont try to in the future,no mention so far in the paper bout airguns, but that too will be on the agenda in future once they have dealt with firearms, you can bet on that,so it would be deluding our selves to believe otherwise, this is all about putting in place a way to remove from nz as many legally owned guns as possible by whatever means they can a will come up with for sure, sadly the nats are allso on their side too,so dont expect the nats to stand up for sane and workable gun laws either, simon bridges and judith collins have clearly made their postion clear on this issuse recently, they will back the government on any new gun laws.
personally i tend to believe any legal challenges to these new laws will fail, because evan if the courts decide in favour of gun owners i believe the law will be changes to over rule the courts on this one and it wont be first time our government has done so either.any one who believes demococy actually works in nz most be blind and deaf,as it never really has in the past either.demococy in nz is a delusion.
i worry bout the type of country my grand children will inherit and the type of government they have to live under.
 cheers mike

they have now pretty much banned all guns using any pistol cartridges,so good bye to most lever action and single shot pig hunting carbines, any gun even with tube mags that hols more than 10 cartridges, and the list goes on,they lied ,told us was only going to be A cat MSA rifles, but E cat gone now as well,a gun register for all guns is coming as well,so they have gone after pretty much most repeating sporting rifles that have been used in nz for 100 years guys, the intention as has been stated by Simion Bridges and Judith Collins of NAT party last week is to make nz a gun free country,so NATs on board too and going to support whatever the Labour mob and nz police want fully in parliment, find it bit strange the media never picked up on Bridges comments on thus last week that he was proud to be part of making this country one the first to gun free, just proves once again we cant trust any politition or any polititical party any more on this or most other issuses any more either, last week parliment is going to pass two laws that bassically will make full term pregnacys legel ,thats murder of a full term baby, and same week make it legal to kill terminally ill ,what does it say about a country that going to make what is really murder legal eh!!this is the world we live in today,i personally have issuses with abortion for right reasons before the fetus has a heart beat and no brain function, and no issuses with suicide,by personal choice, but do have serious issuses with legalised medical murder.
 food for thought eh!
