Good points from Pauly and Kruza - do not play with any form of HPA / PCP unless you have a current firearms license.

jwabfrog correct. What I was asking is there any fitting types I can't use like G1/2-14 or M18x1.5 as those are common fittings on pcp systems.

I went a picked up a cr600w today along with a 88g co2 cylinder and co2 to G1/2-14 (paintball) adapter and they guys at guncity were sweet as with it and we agreed it's fine as long it doesn't run hpa.

I'm not sure how to upload photos but once I figure it out I will post one but maybe in a different post.

You can upload photos using the "post reply" button ( bottom and top left side of the screen). the option is not available in the quick reply box that most people use. I will be upgrading the forum over the weekend so hopefully it will be a bit easier to use once im done.

Welcome to the forum.

Here is the adapter I talked about earlier Guncity call it a Air Source 88G Adapter CO2 Paintball. It goes from M16x1.5 to G1/2-14.

The reason I asked is I plan on having the main feed in G1/2 as it has a common o ring size so easy to get replacements and easily adapted to any cylinder size.

I will strip down the rifle and get some measurements and I will come up with more of a plane for what I want to do, build and lower valve block or just cut down the lower tube.

I have also been thinking about a Gamo C.A.T trigger and if I can adapt one to work.

Thanks Paul for the input. I am wanting to do a regulator to plenum as CO2 is very sensitive to temperature and I was reading that a regulated plenum can help with shot consistency but I may have to regulate to 600psi in the plenum. The regulator for the plenum can help control power and I was going to try make an adjustable hammer spring and I like your idea of an adjustable transfer port.

I want to be able to turn down the power so I don't get pass through shots on birds while still being useful for rabbits during the day that's the main reason for it.

jwabfrog Thank you for this it is very helpful I had a quick look at the thread I do like that idea and also interested how it will behave with CO2 as the pressure drops as it cools.

I can't pm you until I get 40 points so not sure how long that will take but I am interested in some parts mainly the valve as I can't find anything about it online.

kruzaroad seems logical I just wasn't sure if there was certain criteria for a air rifle to be labeled pcp under the arms act. CO2 is technically pre charger pneumatic due to the definition of the word pneumatic. Maybe HPA rather than PCP should be used.

I am going to assume it's only classed as PCP when it's manufactured and imported like someone pointed out the Air Chief uses the same platform for CO2 and HPA but the CO2 version has a cut out in the tube so it can't be pressurized and can visibly see the CO2 canister.

Is there a particular model for the power wheel I found this site and there is heaps on there.

Funny, the spares diagrams don't generally show this part. It's just a shaft with a hole drilled through it. Limits the rate gas can travel through transfer port into the barrel.
