Hi everyone. I am new in this forum. I just wish to learn from fellow forummers on modifications of spring-based (either spring powered or gas rammed) springers. I do all the tuning myself and all my Hatsans were converted from spring to gas rams.
Will share my experiences in the modifications in the coming months.

Mostly plinking. I have my own range. Maximum distance 80 metres. Occasionally, I do keep pests at bay; pests like rats and starlings. My favourite is a locally made pcp with a 24" LW 0,22 barrel. The silencer was made by UK Neil (imported). I can hit 5 shots at 80 metres 0.2" ctc with it. Next in line is my Diana 54 0.177. It is perfectly tuned by yours truly with a Vortek PG2 kit and a 135 wire. I also installed an O-ring piston seal. It is shooting at 924 fps avg with 9.7 gr pellet. It is almost on par with my PCP.

Hello and welcome, I will be interested in your gas ram conversions on your Hatsan springers. I am in the process of converting my Hatsan as well with my own home made ram. so any information you have on this is very welcome :)

@Nunga. What model of Hatsan do you have? Regarding your home-made gas ram, what is the builtin pressure? I suppose your gas 8ram is pressure adjustable, just like the vortex gas pistons from Hatsan. I installed a xman xl nitro piston into my Hatsan 155 with the ram body in the piston. It shoots at 900+ fps with 19.4 gr pellet. It is the most powerful springer in my lineup.

Its a MOD 125. i am looking at 150+ bar or around 2000 psi still working out the fine details on the piston seal inside the ram.

I read an article that the cocking arm of the 125 will bend at the SAS location if the gas ram is too powerful. I pumped up the vortex to 115 bar only and the 125 sniper is shooting at 840+ fps with 19.4 gr. That is good enough for me. I have two type 2 vortex gas pistons. I will try another with 125 bar and see whether the mv improves. Actually, it is quite dependent on the sweep volume of the compression chamber.
