Any quality scopes out that people are wanting to sell? Am after one, needs to be in good condition.
Ideally 4-12, not really interested in 3-9.
Need rings as well

Assuming for an Airgun.
Quality scope can be a an expensive term when fitting to springer rifles.
Robust construction is possibly more important and even then may eventually fail.

New purchase from most reputable suppliers will provide for original owner lifetime warranty.
examples Nikko Stirling, Hawke and Tasco.

Lifetime or universal warranty for any owner.
examples ZeroTech, Bushnell, Vortex and Leupold.

Scope needs to be clearly rated for airgun or warranty will be challenged.

I think a reasonable quality mount or rings are important.
I use SportsMatch dampa mounts but years away from a definitive answer as to longevity.

Alternatively you need a specially designed rifle such as Diana 54 Air King Pro with a very clever built in recoil eliminating device.

As power increases some type of counter recoil device will likely be required and some loss of accuracy can be expected however this can be recovered with practice and technique.

Moving to 4-12 magnification seems to jump the price into $400 - $600 range for branded scopes.

Retrofit is advisable such as ZR mount ($120) as fitted to this Gamo Magnum.
Nikko Stirling 3-9x40 scope ($200)

SportsMatch Dampa Mount ($140) where the lower and upper sections are separated by rubber material.
Tasco 3-9x40AO scope ($200)

4-12 economy options

Hawke Airmax comes in 4-12 and has a good reputation.

ZeroTech Vengeance also comes in 4.5-18 which I have reviewed previously.

Nikko Stirling Airking 4-12x42 would be lowest cost if you can find one.
