Hi all.

Thought I should join up.  I'm about to retire so just ordered myself a new PCP.  My interest is pest control and target shooting.

First time owner.  I've been interested in them for a while and currently have a Gamo break-barrel,  I rarely use as I have a bad back.  I've previously been put off the PCP's by the cost and the gun license requirement, but now I've now decided to hell with it, it's what I want.  License is a work in progress and I've just ordered myself a Walther Reign M2.  I'll pay for it, a friend will store it until I'm legal.

Hi. Welcome aboard.
Pcp will be a step up for pest control for sure.

Welcome from another Stratford member, look forward to posts on pest control.
We have a well supported air rifle club in Taranaki based at Eltham so let me know if you want to work out at some targets.

cheers

Thanks Mercs.

I noted there were a couple of local people on the forum, that's the main reason I decided to join.  Yes, I'm familiar with the Eltham small-bore range but didn't realise that air gunners were active there or anywhere else in Taranaki for that matter.  Early days yet, but what are the requirements re air guns for target shooting or is it more of a social 'bring what you got' type thing which seems to be the case in the UK?

Cheers

Welcome along, I'll have to join you naki guys next time I'm up at the in-laws. Maybe arrange a pest control shoot at their land.
