time to dig the hard hat out again,
coz the magpies are nesting and getting stroppy again,
as spring has sprung and i am constantly wondering where these birdys iz,
cant cross the yard without potentually losing some hair,
coz they swoop in like fighter planes spoiling for blood,
if get caught in the open, will feel the pain,
of getting smacked in the head by a feathered jet plane,
its a state of war around here now,
same as was last year and many years before,
but i have my gun and and out to evan the score,
and quite a few of the bilghters will be around here no more,
and peace once again will return to my side of the hill,
coz the man with his gun will win again in the end,
the same as he did last year and many before,
coz magpies cant out fly a piece of hot lead,
they allways end up dead, coz the man with his gun evaned the score.
  cheers mike

Hahah,

Mike try and bait them and shoot the adults before any juveniles as sometime the juveniles will hang around a dead adult and you can bag them too.

We have around 8 magpies at the moment but not causing any strife yet, probably because I took a couple out a few weeks ago. Time for my spring starling shoot when they start nesting in my gutters.

Get a cheap shiney spoon (or three) from the local Op-Shop, bend the handles and hang 'em on your 8-wire fence.

Not only are these great interactive targets, they also attract Magpies! They love shiney things!

Then you can shoot 'em from your lounge window!!! Big smile

Ha! Enjoy.....
