for first time in years we must have rabbits close to the house as cats bringing them home, got up yesterday and 3/4 grown rabbit running around inside and caught one running round the back yard few days before, cats must be too well feed as they not killing and eating them, just seem be bringing them home.there 5 acres grass and black berrys in gully over back fence so good guess the rabbits be in there some where, tho have never seen any there in last 10 years,be nice to have few rabbits this close to home if cats leave them alone long enough for them to eststablish themselves,be nice handy hunting just over back fence for a change, normally only see rabbits down by river 1km away at back farm, but been seeing odd one on neighbours in last few weeks as well so mustve cleaned out all the feral cats around here now at lest for a while, coz know the cats will be back eventually,so things looking up for bit summer rabbit hunting i hope.

still havnt found where the cats are getting the rabbits from, but found on dead one and another running around the house again this morning the cats had brought in last nite, this makes 4 they brought home now,so must quite a few where ever they getting them from, i cant take the dog to look around as she just had surgery on ears so got one those funnel things on her head and not a very happy camper as gets stuck trying fit thru gaps etc so totally not interested in hunting at present,i guess the plus side is the cats not bringing home rats from the creek and letting rats go in house as have done in past, the joys of country living eh!!
 cheers mike
