Ok so here I am fishing for input as to whether anyone out there would be interested in a competition that would be open to entries from all and sundry to be shot indoors at 25yds?

Have a target concept stolen from another discipline so cannot share it here as yet but would be different styles of shooting at a variety of target styles, some time limited, albeit on the same card with four positions to be utilised, please chime in if interested, curious or just ???

Cheers
Steve

Hey there man - just give me a buzz if you're starved for practice areas. I've got oodles of places for that - just nothing worth hunting on. But i've got room to shoot to 40yrds in comfort in the backyard

Nunga,
what type of terrain is on offer at your place?
Im toying with an idea that needs a venue, but should attract a good number of shooters.
Need ranges suitable for FT, 10-55 yards, but looking for tree cluttered and good uphill and downhill style of landscape.
Maybe some room for tenting (at a charge of course)
Probable duration of 3 days :)

flick me a PM if you want.

This is a picture from the front door looking into the side field. We could setup there or we could set something up in the kids playground (about the size of a football field). or even in the bottom field by the river... you might want to come over one day for a look see what you think :)

The distance to the trees in the background is around 110 meters. That hole section is around 200 meters long and stretches over the river to the top field to a distance of around 300 meters.

Tim
Where in West Akl is there a 25yrd indoor range? Tongue

Yup if I manage to get it together then my hope is that it will be held at HARC

Though if I manage to buy a few hectares with a big shed...

Ian,
Nice looking property buddy, will have to stop in and say hello when I next pass through Pukekohe Smile

chances are we'll be through puke a bit now, as my sister and family are making the move up from chch,
Im on the hunt for something similar to the grounds WAG used for the  nats last year, but will have a look when im up that way for sure
wanting to make 90% of the shots as hard as possible, and with angles, reducers and distances bordering on the edge of whats allowed (cruel design)

Greetings

Just replying to this first posting. The format you are suggesting is what we do at our Taranaki Air Rifle Club. It seems to work and gives a good ground base to persue other disciplines eg. field target, silhouette.
