We are renovating some rooms in the house, so I moved my springers into the garage, along with half the other household furniture and junk.

Its been almost a month now and I went into the garage yesterday to look for something and was horrified to see the amount of "light" rust that has suddenly appeared on barrels, screw heads, side levers and under levers!!!

Gave them all a wipe down with oil and as soon as we can move back into the rooms of the house I'll get them back inside and give them a good clean with steel wool and oil.

Walk quietly, but carry a big stick.

Jeeeez Pete!

With your love of air rifles, I would have thought you would have slept in the garage whilst your rifles stayed indoors!!!! Big smile

Ha!

My cabinets are in my shed but I've recently installed thermostatically controlled 50W fan heaters to prevent this problem.  Working well so far.
