Hi Folks,

Is anyone interested in putting together an order for pellets from Krale?

I believe if the order is big enough it will qualify for free shipping. If two or 5 of us combine our requirements we could get an order of pellets delivered for free, then just spilt it up when it gets here.

Anyone interested?

Pete.

Hi Pete.

I've just imported 30 small tins for myself and fellow club members.  I conversed with the Krale rep quite a bit before going ahead trying to sort out a packaging method to avoid the damage I had experienced with my previous order.

Unfortunately they weren't packed as I'd requested, but they did do a better job than they had before and on this occasion only two tins were damaged.

HOWEVER, the 30 tins were stacked and wrapped in bubble wrap in three lots of ten.  They were then  placed in a standard shipping carton with the remaining space filled with that useless blow-up bubble wrap.  When they arrived here the box was partially open at a taped seam, the box was pretty badly beaten up and was not far off collapsing completely.

SO, the lesson I learned is that 30 small tins is the absolute maximum I'd order again in a shipment as it's a hell of a lot of weight and any sort of shipping packaging is going to get a hell of a hiding trying to contain it.   I'd recommend no more than 20 small tins at a time (500 of .177 or 250 of .22),  I only imported the small tins this time as there’s more mass of pellets in the bigger tins to move around and damage each other.  The tins of the very light 13gr .22 cal JSB's from the previous shipment suffered around 70% damaged - a lot of waste.

Perhaps you could pm me and I'll give you the rep's contact details and you can perhaps sort out a better packaging regime - I have photo's of the damage you could use in your discussions.

Hi Kiwi,
Thanks for your message.
I'd definatly like to get the reps name from you please.
There are now 4 guys who are keen to combine an order, so I'm sure we can get to 20 tins.
What did the shipping come to, or was there a minimum spend value for free shipping?
Thanks,
Pete.

My order a year ago in July I paid $14.01 Euro per tin (500 pellets 18 grn JSB) and $50.00 Euro shipping

So I paid around $30 NZD per tin landed in my hand. So I don't think you will get free shipping, as I remember if I was to order more and the weight went up, the shipping went to $75 Euro.

Way better value than buying locally unfortunately.
