Had this a while and never shot it much, posted before but thought id post in the collectables section too... it’s a beast of a rifle - .25cal, spring piston, heavy to cock, she’s a bit twangy, but a great rifle..
UK made Webley Patriot, finely finished with deep glossy bluing in tradition Brit firearm fashion. A classic sporter design stock.

]

I had it at the range for a bit of a dust off last night, and borrowed a Garmin chrony for a few shots (great bit of kit!). The rifle pumped out just over 27 footpound, the shots thumping the board 25 yards down range were quite audible, even over the spring twang. Most impressive is the hefty piston with its huge spring, had an extreme spread of just over 5fps, you’d struggle to get a pcp to do that!

]

The trigger is firm, but it’s 2 stage and pretty predictable.
Grouping proved these are accurate barrels, with the only issue in accuracy being me! It formed 2 groups, likely a change in hold of the rifle which just needs time to master.

That's a very nice looking gun JS.
Like its point of balance too. Would suit my hold well.
Spread is tight, accuracy seems good.
Have you stretched it out any further than 25 yards.
Have you hunted with it? Recoil?
How tidy are the internals? Is that the sort of accuracy it holds with age or is she still pretty freash.
What's your view on webley as a gun maker, i know nothing about them and would be interested in your view.

Webley were a great gunmaker. Im not sure they make a lot now, aparently Webley went into receivership at some point in 2005; most the Webley air rifles on the market are made by Hatsan in Turkey and dont have the built quality of the older UK ones. I wouldnt buy one now unless it was another vintage

These are probably from 1990s, mine "was produced on or around 11/07/97" according to a UK forum member that has a lot of webley data. the internals probably havent been touched since new - i dont want to have it stripped down as its performing well.

I havet done any hunting with it, dont really get the time to seek hunting permissions, my interests are more on the collectable side and targets.

Recoil is a good kick as youd expect.. I bought a new hawke scope for it when i got it as i wanted to make sure it had a warranty...
