After recomendations for a pistol (with a folding stock if possible) that I can throw in back pack that will take down birds (rabbits at close range be nice but not essential) pumper or springer. Prefure some thing with longer barrel or capability to buy longer barrel or if need be get a rifle barrel cut down and threaded to screw in. .177 or .22 fine.
As I have no idea of air pistols, im trying to get an idea of where to start looking for decent quality products.
Thanks.

I would recomend Crosman - either the 2250 co2 rifle (you can get pistol grips, or a small modification to make the carbine stock removable)
co2 can be made very quiet, barrel is 14" which is good, can get a 24" barrel to replace it which you can cut down if you want.
They make good power as standard, for birds, but can be modified for more power (less shots per canister)
You can get the pistols version - 2240, but less available and the 2250 carbine comes with the longer barrel.

Or you can get the multipump pistol version - 1322 / 1377. same modifications are possible.

First step is to remove the plastic breech and buy a steel breech which is much sturdier and allows for optics

Google 2240 modifications to get an idea of the endless possibilities with these...
J S Airguns
Air Arms TX200('s)
Theoben Sirocco
HW77
FWB 300s
Webley Patriot
One or two others...

Current projects:
Too many..

I would go 2250 or 1322 as J-S mentions. Brilliant for pest control and some have taken bigger critters
