Well I just brought a air arms tx200, and an air max scope 4-12 x 40 ao. plus the sportmatch T04 med match mounts. thanks for the recommendation on the scope mercs. I feel much better having spent the extra money on scope recommended to me buy a shooter. now the long wait for it to get shipped down from Whangarei.
the gamo is about to become a doner for a system I've been thinking of to contain all the recoil within the stock. don't know if it will work being a totally new concept but I'll give it a go. let ya all know in 7 months or so.
thanks again mercs, I appreciate you sharing your real world knowledge.

Nice setup! My main target rifle is a tx200, many others come and go but the TX will stay! It started with an airmax as well, good pairing and Sportsmatch is the only way to go on the TX200 - it has a fine scope rail and cheaper mounts sometimes just dont grip it.

The recoilless idea sounds like a challenge - ive seen a couple do it well - adding a sledge system like the Feinwerkbau 300s, or also have a look at the ZRS system.
Whatever method, dont forget to post about it here

One or two others...

Too many..

Thats a precision outfit.

Sub 1lb trigger is competition grade out of the box.

Look forward to pictures and a review.

Scope and mounts will have lifetime warranty.
What warranty did you get for the rifle?

cheers

sweet I'll check those systems out. its going to be challange. the system is basic but tracking the right material for the job will be the task. especially a light weight shock absorbent gel type substance for the recoil damping. there will be a solution out there.
yeah I'm stoked I made the leap in quality. once she's all settled in and on target it will be great to know that if shots are off its me and not the gun. ( the gamo has been great to 20 meters but spreads about 25 bench shooting) I'm beginning to think I just got a bad one.
will update all on its field ability as it will be my hunting rifle.
weihrauch next I think. man hooked again and happy
