I trialled the Apolo .177 Magnum pellets and they were a touch wayward so will not make my list to keep on stock.

Rifle: CO2 powered Hammerli 850 at a distance of 20 yards.

Scope: Bushnell 4.5-18x40 AR (AO set at 15 metres with magnification at 7) no adjustments were made before or after test.

Pleasant evening 18 degrees gentle breeze across right shoulder. Rifle was set up on table using bipod.

Target Card - Gamo brand using Sig Pellet catcher at a height of 1.4 metres.

15 shots were needed to stabilise when first using Apolo. 3 shots were needed to stabilise when returning to RWS.

I have included a second card used when returning the rifle to its regular diet of RWS Pro-Line wad cutters.

Apolo $20 per 500 pellets and RWS $22 per 500 pellets.

have never had much luck getting cheaper off brand pellets to give accuracy, but there have been few exceptions, have allways found every gun is different when comes to pellets they like, you can get two identical guns one serial number apart yet often both will shoot better with different pellets and often two different tins the same pellets from different batchs will shot quite different, had recent example that myself been using JSB 10,34 177 pellets in my lonestar rifle for years with ecellent accuracy, ran out while back purchased new tin same pellets different batch number and accuracy disapeared, couldnt get damned things to shoot,so changed over to 10,35 barracudas and accuracy returned, rifle has allways shot well with the barracudas from different batchs, but very surprised the JSBs just wouldnt shoot as had done for years, this rifle likes heavier pellets as its set up at 22/24 fpe off reg and strangly enuf it loves gamo 15,4 gr pellets, never owned a rifle before that ever liked or shot gamo pellets well,so you just cant allways tell how pellets will shoot til you try them, havnt tryed these apolo pellets coz too light for the lonestar and would prob go super sonic which of course is total waste of time,at $20 compared to $22 its not worth pissing around with them if you want match target accuracy, but they would proberly be ok for hunting at reasonal distances, any rifle that will put 5 shots into one inch at 30 meters or so is perfectly capable of putting rabbits/possums down for keeps out to 50 meters.
i am a hunter/pest shooter with airguns and have little interest in taget shooting other than to sight guns in ,i use twist tops for targets which bout same size as a rabbit or possums brain, and when cant hit a twist top at any distance consistantly thats the max distance i take a shot at an animal these great tagets to learn a rifle on cox they react when hit and are easy to see at quite long distances only trouble got lot beer to the supply targets up eh!!,thats my two bobs worth on pellets /accuracy etc from a hunters point of view,i like many rural dweller do lot hunting and pest shooting.prob lot more than most who live in town simply coz have the oppurtunitys to doso and believe me i hate it when i miss or wound an animal coz of a bad shot i took or pellets not up to the job,so am very fussy bout accuracy and pellets.
 cheers mike
