I spent Saturday with the family in Tekapo and decided to come back home over McKenzie Pass. We came over the top of the pass just before dusk and a big wallaby popped out in front of us. I parked up and put the stalk on it, but it kept between 20-30m away from me through the scrub. Just as i was waiting for it to come out from behind a bush I noticed another wallaby only 10m away looking directly at me from under the scrub. I took the shot just as it turned and the well placed .25cal JSB made an instant kill into the back of the head. these are Very tough critters and i doubt any other bullet placement would have taken this down as instantly.

Thank you, yes it is. I would love to spend a bit more time up there with night vision. I don't think I would have been as lucky if it was a 30+m shot
