Will there be a springer category? and if so does a gas ram fall into the springer range?

there should be provisions for 4 classes, Open (hi-power) PCP, 12 ft/lb PCP, Open (hi-power) Springer, and 12 ft/lb springer
Springer classes cover spring or gas ram/piston powered rifles, my tuned hatsan is in 12ft/lb spring class and that is gasram. My Tx unfortunately is in open springer, only just over the power limit - but too ridiculously accurate to want to change it just yet. Bring your toys and have some fun, meet some new like minded people, make some friends.

Good luck. I cant make it unfortunately, I have a Wireless link to setup and test over the next two days and need to get these dishes aligned properly which is not that simple when they are 3km apart :)

Thank you every one, it was a huge job for NRC members. Brandon and Graham put a huge effort in weeks before to help making this event work. Then there's the sponsors, and businesses that just give goods or time. Non members that cooked the food or wrote software etc.
Of course theres Andrew as well, not only for letting NRC use the 643 range, but was also one of three that set the course up. The people that helped on the day, range officers Toby and William and of course the lovely Tracey. Then there were people that ran the target strings at late notice and those that broke down the range.... A huge thank you to all It dosn't matter how good a event is run, what really matters is sportsmanship. People make an event and everyone that attended 643 on Sunday were outstanding! It was great to see new faces and meet with old friends The course was set over 12 lanes, was 170 meters long in a half moon shape. The first bit was over a grassy paddock that fell away from the shooter. Two lanes in this area had targets around a dam, 49 meters from the firing line. There were only 3 targets at this distance. 13 targets were under 25 meters for NRC's Pro class (beginners with entry level rifles) and the rest were between 25 and 43 meters. The second part of the range was up hill though pine trees. The hardest shooting in this area was in the morning when there was poor light . The last lane was in the middle of the course that was flat. and where the last 49 meter target was placed. Wind really cost some on this lane Theres a bunch of pics from the day on our Piako Clubs Facebook page ( most of them are too big to upload here sorry) https://www.facebook.com/piakoairrifleandpistol 1st Adam Welsh MCASA 37 2nd Alex Magon Piako 34 3rd David Lum NRC 34 (on count back) 4th Dave Johnston NRC 31 5th Jeff Hietbrink WAG 31 (on count back) 6th Andrew Jurgens NRC 22 1st Paul Blades NRC 26 1st Hamish McClurg NRC 38 2nd Brandon Syme NRC 32 3rd Terry Lum NRC 31 4th Mike Newell MCASA 28 5th John Martin NRC 2 1st Brett Nixon Piako 36 thats with a springer! compare to some pcp scores !!! 2nd Sean Nooman Hunter 8 1st Nick Holland NRC 18 2nd Lachlan Fargahar NRC 14 3rd Seth McIntyre NRC 8 Edited by (pink)MIST - 30 Jul 2013 at 8:21pm |

Jeff (scout) taking the long uphill standing shot
A section of the uphill wooded part of the course And the open field downhill section Jeff on the 40 yard downhill target Mike on the standers Andrew looking out to the kneelers - long distance and a tricky wind, with the windfarm on top of the hill Terry on the standers Noonie lines one up A nice day in the sunshine Alex Magon, NZAFTA President Alex shooting the Daystate Panther, lines up a tricky kneeler Davey observes as Raewyn goes for the 45 yard uphill Brandon takes out a reducer with his FX The targets just between those trees :) heres a better perspective Greyskull (Adam) scoring noonie And heres me, giving thought to a 15mm killzone at approx 35 yards, and half hidden behind a tree! A little thought first meant I got it on both rounds! The TX200 MK111 works a charm! A couple of nice bits of kit Edited by (pink)MIST - 02 Aug 2013 at 8:09pm |
