For the blueing I used Birchwood Casey Perma Blue liquid gun blue set.
I've applied about 4 coats so far. It's a bit of a trick applying it! It came up all right - I'm looking at the trigger guard right now, that's pretty rusty too. I used the rust remover from the birchwood casey for the pump chamber, but for the trigger guard I'm going to sand it to bare metal I think...

That blueing is looking good. What product did you use?
Good thread.

Prometheus and H&N Diabolo... both from the 1980s!!! Don't think the Prometheus went too well in the choked barrel though - not so accurate from memory... Yep all the parts are out of the gun as shown, and there is actually a good amount of seals and orings I think becaause the gun was remanufactured at least 2 times since they stopped the original. What are the pellets in first pic?
Thats looking great. You seem to be cleaning it up nicely. Should be a beauty once again. Are those the original valve parts in plastic bag? How you go for sourcing seals etc? Nice crisp photos too. Looking forward to rest of build pics, final assembly and of course testing. |

Trigger assembled into breech, with some marine grease. It's nice and smooth now! |
