Hi Folks,
I’m considering buying a second hand scope, a discovery optics, HD 5-30x56.
It has a FFP, side wheel and illuminated reticle.
All sounds very good, but u never know untill it’s in your hands, and by then you’ve already paid for it… 🙈

Has anyone had any experiance with these scopes, or any other Discovery scopes?
Any idea what this scope should be worth, second hand…?

Thanks,
Pete.

They are a great scopes. I've got 2 new cheap ones, very clear glass and slightly thicker cross hairs.

Did get a second hand (vt-z? 4-16 something model) that I can only use at 4x and anymore zoom it goes blury

Scopeuout.co.nz sell them but only have 2 models showing currently

A bit concerning that your secondhand one can only be used at 4x or it goes blurry… 🙈
I might bite the bullet and try this one.

I've had 4 different Discovery scopes over the years. The oldest one was an FFP and it was great, but at highest mag poa changed slightly. So I sold it, but would buy again.

I had a Discovery scope on a Walther Century Springer. It only lasted one outing at the range and it died. Got a refund and the NZ importer said they are not suitable for airguns.
