As mentioned

25th March placed an order with www.Krale.com prices in Euros..

Emailed the police firearms permit department, got a reply back which I sent to Krale (as they expected an import permit.) That was good enough for them to dispatch the order (I asked them to include the police email in the shipping documentation.

 Thank you for your email.

Air rifles do not require a permit to import. The only airguns that require a permit to import are restricted airguns (e.g. air pistols, airsoft guns) and PCP Air rifles.

From the web link you have provided (https://www.krale.shop/en/hammerli-850-m2/) it appears this airgun does not meet either the interpretation of a restricted airgun or is a PCP Air rifle and therefore, you are not required to obtain a permit to import for this item.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

To cut a long story short, ordered an extra mag, which didn't show 'out of stock' but was, waited a few weeks as it was imminent that it would be in stock every few days (that delayed the process for a while, I ended up cancelling the mag and ordered and paid the difference for the Bipod)

Krale dispatched the order on the 12th of April (delay wholly due to the out of stock spare mag debacle). Arrived in Auckland 20th of April. I contacted Fliway couriers when I was it was on 'hold' awaiting advice etc. I sent them copies of the police email which seemed to do the trick. whoever was responsible for issuing the clearance sat on it for a few days then it was released. (I haven't heard anything but I will probably get hit with a GST bill...) I've pasted the shipping progress below.

I also ordered a co2 adaptor 2 spare mags and some extra rings and stuff from an excellent firm in the UK (www.bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk) a chap called Richard, very helpful and competent...Highly recommend them.

That arrived no problem.

Shipping progress: from UPS log.

Nice!
I’m struggling to get a consignment from Germany. No carrier wants to touch it to get it out of the country.
Import permit is sorted etc, just can’t get it out of Frankfurt!

Hi, not sure what the score is, both companies I dealt with (UK and Netherlands) did say that they ensure that they have no markings on the packages to indicate that it's a firearm or such thing, not sure how that works with the courier companies?

Good luck anywayThumbs Up

A.

Cheers, this was labelled as sports equipment and returned to sender at Frankfurt. I may have been unlucky with a spot check... odd considering Germany is one of the biggest exporters of arms..

Can the company not try another courier? some may be more pragmatic than others and want the business? It would be in the sellers interest to pursue this for the sake of their profit margin?

It’s a private seller, selling some vintage air pistols on behalf of a club..
we have both enquired with most courier companies and now starting on some freighting specialists.. some only deal business to business - maybe I need to see if I can get the package to Krale!
may cost a bit more but I’m sure we’ll get there in the end!

I was going to suggest you try that Jono. It's mind boggling how some countries make it so hard.

Try buying a nerf gun in Australia, lol.

My experience with ordering from Krale was fantastic, with my item in the country 5 days after ordering.

The funny thing is that Andy's package went through Germany!
