welcome mate, pcps are the first and oldest form of airgun that was practical for hunting they were first known bout the same time the flintlock firearms came out so have been around for a while now, todays pcp airguns are very sophistcated airguns compared to the early guns, and to me are the ultimate type of airgun and are my preferred hunting airguns simply because they are so accurate and versitle, but as Andy said you need firearms licence to own them now and they can be expensive to buy and set up with some means of filling them, fill stations are a one of cost tho, just a matter of choosing what type works best for you ,a dive bottle/hand pump or small electric compressor all cost bout the same, approx $500, bottles require regular testing and filling which costs approx $50 per test and $10 per fill at dive shop, hand pumps cost $450/600 depending on make, small hpa 4500psi compressors cost approx $5/600 from china,if you dont mind bit physical work outs a hand pump will not only keep guns filled but keep you fit as well,i have both bottles and hand pump.i have recently got back into using springers as well which has been interesting after years of being totally spoilt using pcps,i had to learn how to shoot a springer all over again, but lovin it its been good getting back to bassic airgun hunting and shooting again.
 cheers mike

Hi Tony, welcome. You'll certainly find a wealth of info & knowledge here :-)

I'm also being drawn to the dark side of PCP, however I don't have a FAL and the process is now a bit of an ordeal to go through (and costs money for it and related 'needs') So I'm sticking with the Co2 types..

Good luck

Cheers
Andy (not that far from you :-) Waikawa Beach)

Hey
Tony here
I am looking to do a bit more with air rifles and this looked like a good place to start. Always used air rifles for pests and fun and am really interested in trying a pcp but not totally convinced on them yet.
