In between I use about 3 layers of tightly wound felt around hair curlers. they seem to be comparable to others, but of course are very lightweight and I can make whatever size I want.

I am keen to try printing baffles as I got a printer a few months ago.

I printed it with 100% infill so you should be able to just drill it out and tap to what is needed.

Thanks. I think I’ll try a DPT, small and very light. I can add or attract modules as needed. Funny you mentioned the gun safe. I banged the HW suppressor today. It’s longer than even my 24in long action magnums.

No padding required.  I recently sold a near-new FX king which at full power was deafening without a suppressor even though the barrel was shrouded at the outer end.  I fitted a Nielsen multi-stage cone suppressor with only half the baffle sections removed and it quietened the gun to a very civilised level.

I was making my own with hair rollers and felt plus I've 3D printed several as well, but I've found that the CNC machined multi-cone type commonly used for rimfire are far more effective.  Also, if the barrel of the gun is quite long making it a tight fit in your cabinet, then being able to remove a section or two from the suppressor can make all the difference.

I printed my own here in my workshop. Be happy to print you one, just need to know the thread size and bore size.

I did one for Paul a few months ago. not sure how it worked for him. but on mine they are ok.

These are super effective on PCP rifles, I have one on my Red Wolf with only two of the three baffles and it's brilliant.  A friend has one also.

Made in NZ and you should be able to get one from your local gun shop.

Cheers. Thought that might be the case. I have a licence and have imported parts before. Easier to use a RFD.
The only dedicated Air Rifle suppressor I’ve found is Umarex Neo. But it’s not as slim and Allen
As I’d like. I usually rebuild the internals anyway.

Bringing in a suppressor will require a Permit to Import from the Firearms Safety Authority and in all probability be just as involved as importing a PCP rifle.  To do this you will need to have a current Firearms Licence.  Full details available here:

https://www.firearmssafetyauthority.govt.nz/manage-and-apply/permits/permits-import/apply-permit-import

Once you have the approval it can be shipped to your door without fuss (apart from Customs potentially, although this is unlikely if you get the paperwork correct) as if it were a packet of Bic Biros.

Even buying a $50 junk suppressor at the local sports shop in my town requires the presentation and recording of my Firearms Licence and personal details.
