Here’s one i've wanted for many moons. Air Arms only breakbarrel rifle but it’s a good one!
Hard to come by, they only made 1400, but there is at least one other out in the wild in NZ as it was in at Youngs for a service when I popped in once.

It has the fine finishing of the TX200, along with the same adjustable trigger. Lothar Walther match barrel which is shrouded like the Pro Sport, and its mammoth piston is glided like the tx200.
Smooth to cock, crisp trigger, power slightly higher than the HW80. The cost to make these would not be much less than the TX so it’s no wonder they couldn’t really compete with the likes of Diana and Weihrauch that already had the market for magnum break barrels.

This one I imported from UK, it was a pain in the arse, but I got it here. It’s UK 12fpe power which is silly as they are designed as a magnum. Shot cycle is sluggish but very smooth and virtually no recoil. With investigation the only difference in full power and half power was the spring and guides, problem is no spares are available!

I’ve sourced a high power spring for it, from memory a Titan, it’s up around 18.5 footpound which balances good power without maxing it out and speeding up wear and tear, but it’s twangy as hell! I just need to get a spring guide and top hat made to fit the spring and piston well - ideally a steel top hat as that may help add piston weight and a touch more power..

Yeah once I get guides made up to fit the spring better (its twangy as buggery at the moment, sounds like a Gamo!), ill get it back together and test out some pellets!

cheers, yes the scope suits for now but probably too much magnification for what should be a pest / hunter rifle. Leupy 6.5-20 EFR - its classic but at least I know if it gets damaged it will be repaired

I can swap to upgrade you to a springer rated Nikko if that'll ease your mind?

very generous, thanks. I think the Gamo scopes on the ultra-magnums should work too?

I didnt know Leopauld made springer rated scopes!
Very nice looking rifle. AirArms stocks are always so nicely finished.
Walk quietly, but carry a big stick.

Ive got another Leupold 6.5-20 EFR "Air Rifle" scope. Not out for long but designed for the reverse recoil. Reason i like the Leups is their lifetime warranty - any fault, any time, not restricted to original purchase.

I have used Leupold scopes for FT on my springer, and never had issues.
