Did read a 2022 artical that reckoned they would be making .22 pellets by end of year. Still find any but ppl advertise them.
Be keen to see what results ppl get from thier guns with them.

Hardly - at $21 for a tin of 500?  Sure, you can buy a tin of 500 for $15-$17 but they really are a waste and do nothing but discourage their users, especially those starting out.

Kiwi, are all those tins the same? Two looked like they were black tins.

Id be keen to try out the domed ones in .177. What weights do they come in?
I wonder if the do sample packs?

I'm currently testing the H&N hunting pellet sample pack... Video to follow soon.

There's three different pellet types in the photo, domed, pointed and streamline.  The pointed were old stock on special, the others are new stock at $21 per tin of 500.  All three types are 8.48gr.

All viewable on https://www.shootingstuff.co.nz/

I don't think they have sample packs.

Pete, I reckon they are worth trying. Especially for the S510.  I haven't shot them yet, although I received my 3 tins today, but have heard and seen only good things about them, and the quality at first look is very good.

I might have to take back my earlier comments about JSB pellets Embarrassed

Put some QYS pellets of the three different types through the Air Chief tonight with pretty unimpressive results which was disappointing, but probably not surprising, considering how bad the gun has been.

However, I decided to put some JSB's through to finish off the night and produced my best result to date with the gun!  I'm pretty chuffed considering I'd gone back to a 1x32 red dot (Nikko Stirling this time) rather than the 4x32AO I had been using previously.

Some of the credit for this though comes from the improvement in my technique and use of a more solid rest.

That's pretty impressive for that rifle.
Is it repetable and do ten shot groups hold up as well?

I’m a long time fan of QYS so I was delighted that I was able to replenish my stock of domes - which are now sold out.
Thought I’d mention that there are some very good reviews of the pointed pellets so they could be worth a buy, and especially at the discounted price.

JSB ROCK!!!
ClapClapClap

Having said that, I'm in the middle of testing the H&N sample pack of "hunting pellets" and I am suitably impressed with 3 of the H&N offerings. To the point where I'm considering buying a tin and using them for a while to see how they go.
Just waiting to get out to 40m, ON A WINDLESS DAY for the final tests.

But JSB still rock!!! Wink

Both my crossman use jsb hades.
I've sorted through the tins before, they arn't that uniform over all.
Still crossman like em, followed by AA.
Then stoeger, then fft.
I've found h@n vary to much from tin to tin. Also over buying tins, that arnt any good.
Having said that I turn to AA for dis tance,.

How are those QYS pellets going in your guns?

The H&N test pack was great at 20, two were good at 40, but shocked the heck out of me when I tried them at 80! Really weird! If you havent seen the video watch it., I cant explain what happened to the FTT's at 80m Shocked

Shooting stuff only have the pointed QYS and the streamline QYS. Any reviews or remarks you guys have on them?

Ive just ordered a few more tins of JSB Exacts,  price has just gone up from $25 to $35 Thats quite a jump! So the QYS at $17 and $21 dont seem to bad, although the one I wanted to try is the domed one and they are sold out???

Why didnt they order more?

I got some domed ones.
Shooting them through my Uragan I tried a quick 50m group and got 4 within a bottle top. I also used them on a couple of pigeon jobs and at 12 fpe they dropped pigeons perfectly.

I'm really pleased with them, and glad I got 3 tins.

I'm only shooting at 10m at the moment, I don't have anything setup outdoors due to weather, neighbours and other current limitations.

The JSBs shot better in the project gun than any of the three QYS types, but that's hardly a fair comparison.  I have a new toy on order, possibly to replace the Cometa (lovely gun but still a little too heavy for the wife), which will be a better test of the difference hopefully.
