For a reasonably cheap entry into pcp, there's a Gamo pcp, that is basically a BSA, so good barrels. They are getting good reviews too. I know Hunting and Fishing PNth have access to them.
There's a club day at 643 airgun range 8 Nov, tomorrow, and there will be a couple of pcp's you can check out, 643 Pahiatua track |

love them or hate them pcp airguns have no equal for power and performance in any caliber, they are allso lot easier to shoot accuratly than other powerful spring or gas ram rifles because they have no recoil and generally have much better triggers, but more expensive to buy and need some way of filling them with hpa, which is one off but added cost to get into them,a good hand pump is proberly the lest expensive way to fill pcps as hpa bottles need testing on regular bassis ans allso cost approx $50 for test etc, dont know want they cost to fill these days as get mine filled at club cheaply.i have two older versions made by BSA of the gamo listed at HnFing for $999.99 essentually the same rifles that are very sccurate and powerful the gamo is putting out approx 30fpe which makes it a rather useful hunting rifle and comes with scope and hand pump ready to go,not bad price for what you are getting.
cheers mike

Check out 643 group on facebook. We have a club day comp on Dec 13. But we are looking at getting into Hunter Field target, so perfect for the small game hunters in us.
Or PM me, and I can keep you informed. |
