Thanks Mike, i can see they would be fairly straight forward with the right gear, but a bit outside of my old drillpress's ability! I will see how the project goes and get in touch once i can source the blank Chers, Jono

pm me i will machine it flat for you as long there enuf metal left on base for what you need will be simple job mate,i make all my own dove tail bases and rings,too mean to buy them eh!!!

Do you have access to a milling machine? You could mill the rounded base off if you get stuck.

Long shot, but has anyone seen available flat dovetail stock? Basically a rail section with dovetail and a flat base. I have seen curved one that get gued / screwed to rifle, but not ones with a flat base so thought i would ask here. Wanting to see if i can make something to screw to the top of the Crosman 600 which has a flat top. Weaver / picatinny is easily sourced but it has a very 'tactical' aesthetic that im not after.. Pics below show what I am looking for but this was milled from curved stock (i dont have a mill...) And yes, the gun is still not working and I am getting ahead of myself..   |
