Well the story goes that they are now the only pellet manufacturer in China. They're so good that they were used by the Chinese shooters at the world champs of some sort and cleaned up - after that there were no sales for the other brands. I'm keen as mustard to try them in the Air Chief as it doesn't seem to like any of the other pellets I've tried! I grabbed the domed ones as mentioned plus some of the pointed and streamline? versions. I'm also trying to get them to source some .22 pellets for me. I've asked for the minimum buy they would need and waiting on a their response.

They have 4.49mm heads or just 4.50mm?

Sold as 4.50mm but will have a measure when they arrive and advise. I believe they are of very high quality and consistency. Frankly, even though we all know they perform well, I don't believe what JSB puts on their tins any more.

It's a pity we don't have the communities of shooters like they do in the UK. I know all the FT guys get samples of batches and when they find a batch that works in their guns, they buy in bulk. I remember when I was in England, guys were buying trays of pellets like we buy trays of eggs.

I was going thru the site for them and they put them out in 4.50 tins and 4.49 mm tins. So hope fully they are marked.
Sig prefured 4.49mm in AA. Also according AA arms review, 2022, they only make them 177 and have no intention of making any other cal. Any site I've found that says they have 22 don't have them. |

The ones available here now (not many left by the look of it) are in 4.50mm only. Looking at the QYS site there is no 5.5mm option as you say.

QYS are a premium match grade pellet. I swore by JSB exact express in my TX200, but the QYS Streamlined grouped even better. I want to try the 9.56gr ones but they cant get them apparently.. I suppose the more they sell the more they may get different ones in. Also, if you want a good allround pellet for air pistols / lower powered air rifles then have a look at the RWS Club or Geco pellets - insanely cheap for german practice match pellets. Their RWS R10 are also top grade german pellets at an excellent price. Always good service from Shooting Stuff too. |
