   a bit more progress than I'd anticipated and some more questions answered.  The peened over end of the pivot bolt was quite hard and took a bit of work to remove.  The bolt itself was also super tight so I resorted to using and impact driver rather pushing on with a screwdriver and wrecking the head.

The cylinder outside is very slightly barrel shaped, so no straightening required.  The inside surface is amazingly clean and smooth but the 1.0" plastic seal has sustained some damage to the sealing edge due to some stray metal filings at the breech end.  I'll obviously clean this out and remove any sharp edges I find and then see if I can find a more flexible seal to suit from somewhere.

The trigger spring seems far too long as Kruz said, I'm sure I can find something more suitable but I have no idea what I need to do to improve the trigger - so any advice would be much appreciated.

	Polish sear decide if you want to shorten the contact faces, use graphite, weaken main spring, design and add another sear to give a mechanical advantage. I'm going to shorten the sear face height a bit more again. Easiest way I can see. Concentrate on my trigger pull with this umm unique system. Was contemplating filing the sear, so last bit before disengaging piston would allow a small click feeling as the piston moved forward a mm or two. Figured the edge would round to fast where it stepped down. Thats all my thoughts from limited my experiance.

	Managed to get one of those gamo Recoil Reducing Rails to use as a spacer to get the scope higher to clear the opening breech, but still not enough. So did some shoooting at 8m to test different pellets (10m open sights frustrates me too much, too much inconsistency) Tried 5 different types of pellets, and did a control group using the JSB exacts. Pellets I tried were: Diabolo Match flat point. Hades 10,34gr, boxer pointed, air chief flat point 8.18gr, gamo 10X 7.56gr, and exact 8.44gr Exacts are still on top 👍🏻 The two fire stock screws have loosened about 1/8th of a turn and seem to have setteled there, so I’m leaving them there. Now to start this journey into the unknown and take the thing apart. One question, do I need any special tools to dismantle, and more importantly, to re assemble?

	The only 'special' tools I've used so far have been a small carbide bit in my Dremel to remove most of the peening on the pivot bolt and then a small cutter in my mill to remove what was left of the outer edge. I'm no machinest and my gear is pretty old but I generally manage to get stuff done. The material must be case hardened, my cutter worked off when I put pressure on it initially so I then resorted to the Dremel and once I got through it with the carbide bit it seemed a lot softer - but the edge was still very hard. To remove the spring I used a socket and a sash clamp held in my vice and took it very carefully. That's pretty much it so far.

	It's good to see a spring guide in there, but the abundance of what looks like used motor oil can't be good. Great to see you all getting into it, I haven't had a chance to open mine up yet, let alone fire it.

	Had some time this afternoon so attacked the sear (s?). All new to me but what's to lose, the trigger can't be any worse than it already is. I started off on the spring rod using 1200 wet & dry lubed with motor oil and wrapped around a small flat file (first photo after a little work with the 1200, was all black originally). It appears to be case hardened as expected and the 1200 was making hard work of it. The visible scratches were quite deep, so I went to a coarser 600 grit and then 400 grit to try and cut out them out. I gave up with a couple of minor ones left, then went back to 1200 for a while and finished off with cotton wheel and paint cutting compound on the Dremel. Not perfect, but a hell of a lot better than it was. I then removed the trigger sear and repeated the process. It wasn't anywhere as bad and so took less work. Again not perfect but near enough. I'll coat them both with moly grease on assembly and try a spacer between the trigger stop and cylinder to reduce the ridiculous amount of travel it has. I've also found some weaker springs to try on the trigger return. Moving forward.... Edited by KiwiTR6 - 28 Aug 2023 at 6:46pm

	A tip from someone who had used all his allocated pic storage, if you have a art program, collage them together. We can blown them up on screen to see them better. The grooves in my sears are bad. Maybe they will work for holding grease.

	Continuing to experiment currently with SigAir Venom 7.87 grain pellets. Poor breech finish so pellet does not always centre when inserted and wonder if initially some air loss. I would have thought it would all straighten up in the barrel but did find i could improve things with a little extra effort. I used a Bic ballpoint to firmly insert pellet and results are worth further trials with a noticeable accuracy improvement. When put to the test this evening no better than previous results at 47mm OD. Excluding the pellet in the 5 ring still only 34mm so some way to get a back yard friendly 25mm group, back to the drawing board. Edited by mercs - 29 Aug 2023 at 8:21pm

	Nice work you guys, I haven't had a chance to get any further onto mine. Lathe is arriving at work this week so will look at shortening my barrel and straightening it all up.
