You could do that, or wrap it in teflon tape so you don't need to wind it all the way in to be tight.

Hi everyone all I have done so far is put my steel breech on and mounted a red dot sight. Which I am not a big fan of. Pretty tame compared to everyone else’s. Haha. Noticed my bolt was a bit tight in the breech and realised it is about .5mm to long and rubbing on the opposite side do I will carefully grind a bit off ig on the weekend hopefully.

Starting to become a really interesting post, both marvellous pistols.
I find pistols are a great leveller, anyone can have a bad day. Club shoot today required 20 consecutive shots, air and CO2 pressure changes, magazines need swapping or a lot of single shots to setup for plenty of opportunity for error to creep in. great stuff

First thing I thought when looking at billbob. Then got lost looking at the metal work. Don't get away with shoody workmanship on something that skeletal.
Looks awsome. |

That's not what I expected.
Definitely not for me,but neither the less a fab build for sure. Obviously a very talented indevidual with a outside the box vision. As we seem to have extended this thread into something else, best repost The original line of thread about now. Crosman parts Direct Link To This Post Jordan 01 Feb 2023 at 6:27pm Quote Jordan Quote Post Reply Reply Hello I have a crosman 2240 pistol I am playing around with. I would be very keen on any longer barrels Especially the 14 inch of a crosman 2250 or a 1377 barrel and bolt/ probe to possibly convert to a .177. Any parts or whole 1377/2240/2250 guns would be awesome. Thanks in advance |

Stace is a clever guy, and has a huge collection of airguns as well. He doesnt deal with NZ much as had some beef on an old forum here - before my time in airgunning, so I dont know the history, so he keeps to himself here. His choice and a shame for us as innovation keeps people inspired. If you google "Stace The Lung" you will see one of my favourite builds

Wow tried to looked into the grant stace breech. Didn't get far, all the sites recommend in forums seemed to be shut down.
He made roller triggers too. Is that one on your pistol.? Do you know if he has any active sites? I'm very interest to check out his work. General concensus is he is an absolute top notch and innovative parts marker for 22xx 13xx crosmans but a total prick. Sounds like you were lucky to get parts. |
