hi guys. just joined. getting back into air rifles after years.brought a gamo fusion (as an intro back into the totally changed world of air guns) having problems with pellet pushing rod damaging the base of pellet, effecting accuracy. is this a common problem. IMG_20220702_112239.jpg
thinking getting a sig asp20 in 22, has anyone used this rifle and can give me a over view of it. all good on the mag front. I got heap of pics and sent to gamo, removed the mag system went to single shot. with it gone went back to gamo mounts as was using weaver ( which were pointed on the stop post and starting to eat into metal) remounted scope. acccuacy up. finish sighting in tomorrow. I did notice when taking photos and enlarging them of pellets mag loaded that as the bottom of the plastic rod is flat that the pellets that weren't staying round. it appears that as the rod pushes the pellet in pulls the bottom flat due to tension. a design flat in the loading mechanism. I have the Gamo replay 10 and the magnum replay, these are generation 1 versions with the vertical magazine, I have never experienced problems like that so something is misaligned, the loading action on mine are quite gentle and looks to be some force involved to distort the pellets.
If rifle is new I would return, if not send some more pictures and happy to advise.
Interesting with the version 1 type, I felt comfortable purchasing them because conversion to single load was very simple. For reliable pellet loading I use H&N Hunter Extreme. I was not impressed with the Gamo 10x pellets. I will post some info on Sig ASP20 but you will find some existing posts on the site. I think it is a genuine modernisation of the break barrel air rifle. They were selling well in NZ but will become difficult to find as Sig appear to have ceased producing them. I have been unable to find out if this is just temporary. |

thanks for replying. I had a big blurb typed out but the it disappeared. basics. contacted gamo nz, see if get reply Monday. took off mag, still. having accuracy issues. think may be internal as well. Will strip down check if no result from gamo. it's 3 weeks old, screws keep coming loose, I'm thinking I have a issue internally. Will upgrade ASAP. started to load images to server, when it disappeared will try to reload, but it won't let me reload images I've sent to it. not sure where they went.
